was an an associate with Dr. Frank Oliver Hall, Universalist divine of New York City. Later he occupied pulpits at Mt. Vernon, N. and Lowell, Mass.

In 1914 he was appointed professor of social ethics at Tufts College, and 18 years later named dean of the school of religion at the college. Dr. Skinnpr was the grandson of Charles A. Skinner, who was a Universalist minister in Hartford, Melrose and Somerville, Mass. His father was editor of the Brooklyn Daily Eagle for a quarter of a century.

In 1906, he married the former Clara Ayres of this city. He was for many years active in the Community Church of Boston, which he described as an "enterprise begun and continued entirely apart from the denominational prejudice it is, a church without 'isms. Dr. Skinner was the author of several books and articles and served as an editor of Unity. He leaves a widow.
