Meet Sales Manager Oldsmobile dealers of the Boston zone met yesterdav to get acquainted with G. R. Jones, new general sales manager of the division and to learn of new plans for the Fall selling season.

Jones was presented by S. E. Skinner, general manager of the Oldsmobile division and vice president of General Motors. Skinner told the group that In 1941 Oldsmobile dealers employed 840O salesmen and sold 220.0CO cars, while in 1949 they have only 4200 salesmen and expect to sell before the year's end about 290.000 cars. Salesmen steadily are being added, he stated, tp meet the buyers' market.

At the factory at Lansing, Skinner reported 1000 more men employed this year than last year, and said the new Kettering engine plant, where the Rocket engines are made, is being enlarged to double its original capacity. By September the plant will be equipped to turn out 60 engines an hour, he declared. and Montreal. (Two weeks "lay- style by KLM Royal Datch Airlines and at low summer rates. My favorite Is: Miami.
