"Arthur's Place," a beanery located at a transcontinental bus stop on the outskirts of a big midwestern city, and managed by a former vaudevillian whose personality, show busi ness acquaintances and succulent roast beef make it a stopping point for traveling cejebraties, is the locale of a new weekly series starting on CBS Friday, June 20 (WHP, 9.00 9.30 p. EDT.

Prom Hollywood). Starring as "Arthur" will be Arthur Moore, former vaudeville, night club and film singer, who makes his debut as a radio actor with this series. Moore has been in radio production the past several years. Until recently he was producer director writer of the CBS "County Fair" program. Each week, a guest star will visit "Arthur Place" to enjoy the food and fun with "Arthur," a happy go lucky character who has a nodding acquaintance with many of the great in show business, as well as a cash handout friendship with many more of the not so great A Dixieland combination headed by Jeff Alexander has settled down in "Arthur's Place" to give customers jive with their ham burgers, and to snag an occasional bowl of soup for themselves.

When the local version of "Alexander's Ragtime Band" is not holding forth, an itinerant prestidigitator may be extracting a rabbit from a nonchalant customers gouiasn. 'Man on Slab' in Inner Sanctum9 "Inner Sanctum" offers the mys tery of "The Man on the Slab" on Monday, June 16, at 8 p. m. over WHP. The original radio drama is by Milton Lewis.

As "The Man on the Slab" be gins. Warren Wark is about to die as a wheel comes off his speed ing car. The next thing he knows he is lying on a slab in the morgue Although he can hear what is go ing on, he cannot move or speak. He hears his wife, Diana, come in with the attendant and identity his body. As the sun sets, Wark finds that he can move.

He leaves the morgue and goes to his home. Wark is quite sure he is dead be cause his only sensation is one of being terribly cold. He thinks that if he is able to touch his wife the coldness will go away. Diana, however, is terrified. She reveals that his business partner Howard Barton had tampered with the car in which he was killed.

When Wark confronts his partner, Barton tries to shoot him, to no avail, of course. After Barton breaks his leg trying to escape, Wark agrees to spare his life for the truth. The truth is that Diana and Barton plotted her husband's murder. How the murderers meet their retribution, makes this one of "Inner Sanctum's" shiveriest thrillers. "Inner Sanctum" is produced and directed by Hi Brown.

Paul McGrath is the weird host. Lew White furnishes music on the Poisoned Glass "Mr. Keen, Tracer of Lost Persons," Bennet Kilpack, is called in to investigate "The Case of the Poisoned Glass," Thursday, June 19 (WHP, 7.30 8 p. EDT). The sleuth takes on the case after a woman reports that she has Just found her husband dead on a couch at home, an empty class at his side.

The coroner calls it a heart attack, but the widow has reason to suspect otherwise.
