She was born Sept. 8, 1939, in Karnes City, to the late Ramon and Trinidad Soto Guerra. She was a book binder at Kids Print Shop and a Catholic. Survivors: daughters, Janie Rodriguez and Rodriguez Hope Valdez, both of Victoria; son, Robert Lee Rodriguez Sr. of Victoria; sisters, Eudelia Alaniz, Patsy Serenil, and Guadalupe Tipton, all of Victoria; brother, Christino Guerra of Karnes City, five grandchildren; and five great -grandchildren.

Preceded in death by: husband, Trinidad Rodriguez; sisters, Rebeca Guerra and Antonia Guerra Brosig; brothers, Bentura Guerra, Elias Guerra, and Ramon Guerra Jr. Visitation will be 10 a.m. today at Artero Memorial Chapels. A rosary will be recited 7 p.m. today at the chapel.

CLARA B. THOMPSON Harlingen: Clara Bell Thompson, 88, passed away Sunday, December 25, 2005 at her residence. Clara was born on May 14, 1917 in Waxahachie, Texas to Eddie Blair and Rebecca Lucille Thompson. She was a retired Attorney at Law. Thompson Clara is survived by her brothers, Marvin Thompson and Charles Thompson; nephews and nieces, Donnie Thompson, Kent Thompson, Lou Ann Swayze, Marvin Eugene Thompson, Roy Edward' Thompson, Becky Thompson, Barbara Thompson, Linda Thompson and Joann Thompson; numerous great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, W.H. Thompson. Visitation will be held Tuesday, December 27, 2005 from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m. with the family receiving friends from 5 p.m.

Novian was born August 25, 1914 in Harper, Texas to the late Adolph Novian and Anna Filter Novian. Mr. Novian and his wife owned and operated Novian's Dri- Novian ve-N-Grocery in Ingleside Texas for 29 years before his retirement. Mr. Novian is a member of Grace Lutheran Church and a Veteran of World War II serving in the U.S.

Army. Mr. Novian is survived by his sisters Anita Gentry and Elvira Langehenning both of Freeport, Texas. He is also survived by his grandchildren Kit Mitchell and wife Michelle of Victoria, Texas, Misty Mitchell of Abilene, Charlie Mitchell and wife Sara of Hobart, Indiana. He is also survived by four great grandchildren and his son in law Jim Mitchell of Victoria, Texas.

Mr. Novian was preceded in death by his wife Meta Feller Novian of 66 years and daughter Dennie Sue Mitchell. Visitation for Mr. Novian will begin at 10 AM Wednesday December 28, 2005 at Grace Lutheran Church. Funeral Services will be Wednesday December 28, 2005 at 11 AM from the Grace Lutheran Church with Rev.

MASCORRO Estanislado M. Mascorro, 79, of Victoria, died Saturday, Dec. 24, 2005. He was born March 6, 1926, in Inez to the late Ramon and Juanita M. Mascorro.

He was a contractor. Survivors: wife, Aurora Pesina Mascorro; daughter, Lucy M. Villarreal of Victoria; sons, Paul Mascorro, Estanislado Mascorro Jr. and San Francisco Mascorro, all of Victoria; stepsons, Johnny Anzaldua and Antonio Sandoval, both of Victoria; sister, Rosita M. Valdez of Victoria; and brother, Salvador Mascorro of Victoria.

Dorothy Harris Cook Cuero: Dorothy Harris Cook of Cuero, formerly of Victoria, died 12-25-2005. She was born January 14, 1914 in Cuero, Tx to the late Don M.

Verna H. Harris. Dorothy graduated from Corpus Christi High School in 1930 at the age of 16. She graduated from Westmoreland Academy in San Antonio, (now Trinity University) at the age of 18. Her first teaching assignment was in Taft, Texas where she met her late husband Enoch H.

Cook, also a' teacher in Taft. Dorothy stopped teaching after the birth of her first child and did not return to the field until her youngest was in Junior High. When Victoria Independent School started the Adult Education Program she was one of the first teachers. She was the first Director of the Adult Guidance Center that was started in the late 60's. Dorothy was very proud of her students who acquired their GEDs under her guidance.

She was also very proud of her students who were taught English as a second language. In the early 1970s, VISD began a program for pregnant students who wished to remain in school. This was her final teaching assignment before retiring. She was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Enoch H. Cook, her parents and two brothers, Don M.

Harris, Jr. and Jack Harris, and one son Enoch H. JOHN H. MOLLER ROCKPORT, TEXAS John H. Moller, 58, passed away Saturday, December 24, 2005 in Corpus Christi, Texas.

He was born December 5, 1947 in Corpus Christi and graduated from Ray High School. He lived in Texas until his career in the oil industry took him overseas to work in such exotic places as Borneo and Singapore. John continued to work in the South Texas oil fields until the time of his death. His father, G. Turner Moller of Corpus Christi preceded John in death.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Elizabeth of Rockport; his son, John Moller II and Hong Tran of Rockport; his grandson, Owen; his mother, Virginia Abbott Moller and sister and her husband, Ginger and Robby Robertson, all of Kerrville; his brother and his wife, G. Turner Moller, Jr. and Judy and family of Corpus Christi; his aunt and uncle, John and Maxine Abbott of Harlingen, Texas and their extended family and Weems and Nina Moller of M.L. JOHNSON M. L.

"Shorty" Johnson passed away on December 25, 2005. He was born in Italy, Texas on December 28, 1927 to M. L. Johnson, Sr. and Ethel Johnson Anderson.

Survived by wife Katie Johnson, daughter Twinkle Johnson of League City, Johnson Texas, brothers Andy Anderson of Seguin, Texas and Thomas Johnson and wife Faye of Kent, Washington, his two shining lights Ryan and Meagan Crawford and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and stepfather Louis Anderson. He served in the U.S. Army in 1944 and 1945. He was a member of the V.F.W.

Post 4403. He retired from GTE in 1990. He ALLEN SPARKS CANYON Allen Sparks, 88, 4 of Canyon, died Friday, Dec. 23, 2005. He was born Aug.

21, 1917, in Austwell, to the late Walter Jackson and Cora McCurry Sparks Sr. He retired from Canyon ISD, was a rancher and a member of the Church of Christ. He U.S. served in in the the Sparks Sparks South Pacific during World War II aboard the USS Thornton AVD 11, a Destroyer Escort. Survivors: wife, Billie Alley Sparks; sons, Marcus Allen Sparks of Victoria, Leslie Gayle Sparks of Lake View, and Jimmy Dale Sparks of Canyon; sister, Lucille Sparks Heinrich of Edna; brothers, Wallace "Sonny" Sparks, Dale Sparks, Calvin "Cowboy" Sparks, all of Victoria, and Kenneth Sparks of Sweeny; eight grandchildren; and nine great andchildren.

Also, the family would like to acknowledge with thanks and appreciation her primary caregivers and friends to the family Callie Williams, Lucretia Austin and Maria Acosta. He was a World War II Army veteran, a life member of the DAV and a member of American Legion Post 210. Memorials: American Cancer Society Harrell "Pete" McDonald Harrell "Pete" McDonald, age 89 of Kerrville, passed away Monday, December 26, 2005 in a Fredericksburg hospital. He was born January 26, 1916 in Thomaston, TX to John William McDonald, Sr. and Nena Mae 'Watkins McDonald. On December 24, 1945, he married Bernetta Pauline White in Victoria, TX. She preceded his death on January 10, 1998.

Pete served in the United States Army during World War II in Italy. He worked with Southern Pacific railroad from 1945-1980 and was a member of Hill Country Christian Center. Survivors include an adopted daughter, Susan Villanueva and husband, Danny of Kerrville and their daughter, Danielle; nephews, Lloyd Billstein and wife, Martha of Victoria, John Porche and wife, Beatrice of Corpus Christi and W.L. McDonald and wife, Dottie of Houston; and a niece, Amy White of Louisiana. Along with his wife, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Dorothy Billstein of Victoria, Agnes Porche of Edna and two brothers, Leonard McDonald of El Paso and John Williams of Beaumont.

7, 1922, in Fort Worth to the late Lloyd Matin and Carrie Leona Hale Dwiggins. He was a for the Union Pacific Railroad and a member of the Church of Christ. He was a World War II veteran serving in the U.S. Marine Corps. He was born October 12, 1951 in Bay City to Charlie and Dora Troutman Warn. Billy served in the Navy from 1971-1977, and his favorite past time was fishing and hanging out with his friends.
