PHONE 3762 Dustin Farnum at the Wigwam Famous Star Will Be Seen in the Super-Production, "A Man in the Open." Popular Dustin Farnum will be seen the Wigwam today in "A Man in the Open," adapted from Roger Pocock's famous novel. The story is an unusual one. It deals with the career of a sailor who is shipwrecked on the Texas coast and picked up by the cowhoys. He lives the life in the open, but has two different love affairs which furnish the real action and surprises of the picture. Than Dustin Farnum there are no better portrayers of the western and plains man.

He looks the part and he acts it. He departs somewhat from his usual style in this picture owing to the unlooked-for situations. His efforts to reform the woman of the underworld whom he has married forms an interesting study "A Man in the Open" was produced by the United Picture Theaters of America. This is an organization which is made up of the exhibitors themselves. Their committee arrange for the pictures and the stars.

As a result this association has yet to disappoint an audience with a bad picture. Farnum's "The Light of Western Stars," which recently played to big crowds at the Wigwam, is an example of the class of pictures which the United offers. -UNIQUE-LILLIAN WALKER. The character of Fran, portrayed by Lillian Walker in "The Love Hunger," showing today and tomorrow. will find its admirers among those who like people to be a bit different from the average run.

A girl brought up under the canvas tops of a circus is bound to create an original philosophy for herself, especially when the has the strong background of heredity which Fran had. When Lillian Walker, in the part of the circus girl. precipitates herself into the household of a hypocritical minister, her philosophy produces A reaction from which issues the heart of the whole story. She is the one bit of freshness in a dried-up, puritanical community, a. strange place in which to seek the happiness she hungers for.

A Ferris wheel and its stalled engine finally help her in finding the relation between herself and happiness. The Scenes of country life are true to type, and the act in the lions' cage is hair raising. Allene Hale, seen a8. Grace Noir in an original vampire type, does a fine piece of acting. "The Love Hunger" is an adaptation of J.
