Northwestern showed a great passing and ground attack under pressure today to rout Wisconsin, 41-14, before 40,000 spectators at Dyche Pass Wins tfor Cornell, 7-0, Over Harvard Cambridge, Oct. 11 (JP). An early 88-yard scoring drive gave Cornell a 7-0 victory over a hard-fighting but out-manned Harvard today before 20,000 at the Stadium.

Lou Bufalino chalked up the touchdown by taking a four-yard pass from Ken Stofer, the Ithacans' left-handed passer. Open to 9 P. M. Monday, Thursday, Saturday 5 Syracuse Wins On Blocked Kick Syracuse, Oct. 11 (JP). A blocked kick in the end zone with two minutes remaining to play provided Syracuse with a 6-0 victory today over favored Holy Cross before at Archbold Stadium.

FIRST PERIOD. Murphy attempted a field goal for Holy Cross from the 4T which went short. Syracuse was offside and Holy Cross gained a first down. Scondras' pass was intercepted by Maines on his own 10 and he returned the Syracuse 38. Syracuse began to move and advanced from their 36 to the Holy Cross 34.

Heald fumbled and Grigas drove through to the 45 but fumbled and Syracuse again gained possession. Maines kicked but Holy Cross was unable to make any headway and kicked with Maines returning the Syracuse 43 when the period ended. Score: Syracuse 0, Holy Cross 0. SECOND PERIOD Syracuse's triple lateral was good for 21 yards to the Holy Cross 32. Morris was rushed in to attempt a drop-kick but his attempt fell short.

Syracuse began to move in the closing minutes, driving from their own 13 to the Holy Cross 17 in seven plays. Syracuse lost 5 on a penalty for delaying and attempted a long pass which was intercepted by Natowich who brought the ball back to the Holy Cross 14 when the half ended. Score: Syracuse 0, Holy Cross 0. THIRD PERIOD. Maines' quick kick from his own 23 caught Holy Cross napping and pushed the visitors back to vheir own 30.

The Orange continued to outplay their opponents through the line and took possession on their 40 after the Crusaders kicked. A pass, Maines to Berthold, put the ball on the 32. Whitesell's pass, was intercepted by Natowich on his own 5 and returned to the 25 to end another Syracuse threat. Score: Syracuse 0, Holy Cross 0. FOURTH PERIOD.

Morris replaced Maines and took to the air. A pass JLo Watt was to the Holy Cross 44. A long pass Watt to Berthold was completed on the Crusader 21. A pass Watt to McPhail put the ball on the 6-line and on the next play Morris took a lateral from Heald to the one foot line. Syracuse fumbled and recovered.

Maines went in for Morris and was stopped cold. Gibson was sent into kick out of danger. His kick was blocked in the end zone and recovered for Syracuse for a touchdown. McPhail's attempt was wide and the game ended a few plays later. Final Score: Syracuse 6, Holy Cross 0.

Three plunges made five yards, and Lee's fourth- down pass was batted down on the Cornell goal line. The Ithacans took over on their 20. Neither team could make much headway before the half ended. THIRD PERIOD Martin ran back the kickoff from the Cornell end zone to Harvard's 47. Stofer punted out of Harvard's three. McKinney punted to Buffa-lino, who ran from midfield to Harvard's 35. Lee intercepted a Cornell pass. McKinney punted to Bufalino, who carried it back 15 to Cornell's 35.

Stofer made 20 to Harvard's 40 and then passed to Martin on the 25. The Ithacans' drive was halted by a five-yard penalty and, when a fourth down pass was grounded, Harvard took over on its 25. Again Harvard bogged and McKinney punted outside on Cornell's 4. Johnson replaced McNicol for Harvard and on his first play, recovered Martin's fumble on the Cornell 40. Lee fumbled and Roy Johnson, Cornell left end, recovered on his 46.

Bufalino closed the period by knifing through tackle to Harvard's 48. Score: Cornell 7. Harvard 0. FOURTH PERIOD McNicol completed a 15-yard pass to Lee but that gain was erased by a clipping penalty and McKinney punted to McDonald, in for Bufalino, on Cornell's 30, where he was tackled by Forte. An exchange of punts followed and Cor? nell started rushing from its 15.

After being set back five for a back in motion, Martin ripped off tackle twice to get to his 38. Final score: Cornell 7, Harvard 0.
