Manatawny died Thursday night in Pottstown Memorial Medical Center where she was a patient two weeks. She was ill four months. Born in she was a daughter of the late John and Suzan (Mizic) Shandor. Mrs. Demeter came to this country in 1913, and lived in Pottstown the past 55 years.

She was a member of St. Byzantine Catholic Church. Surviving are two sons, John, Bethlehem; Michael 379 South five daughters, Anna, wife of Paul Hydutsky, Pughtown; Helen, wife of John Gresko, 1097 N. Sunday at the funeral home with Parastas services at 7 p.m. Reinaldo Velazquez, Army veteran, 55, succumbs at home Reinaldo R. Velazquez, 55, husband of Josephine Velazquez, 258 S. York North Coventry, died Tuesday at his home. Dr.

Donald E. Harrop, Chester County coroner, said an autopsy was inconclusive, and the cause of death is being investigated. Born in Puerto Rico, Mr. Velazquez was a resident of Pottstown since 1966. He was a retired U.S.

Army veteran. Surviving with his widow are two daughters and a son. Funeral arrangements are incomplete, but will be private. Interment will be in Arlington National Cemetery, Washington D.C. Kopicki Funeral Home, 1104 High is in charge of arrangements.

Mary Griesemer, 76, succumbs at Manatawny Manor Mary L. Griesemer, 76, 814 Buchert Road, Lower Pottsgrove, died Thursday at Manatawny Manor, where she was a guest since Aug. 30. Born in Reading, she was a daughter of the late Ezra and Mary (Mellon) Griesemer. She was a member, of St.

Andrew United Church of Christ, Reading. Surviving are a daughter, Irene widow of Charles E. Hoffman at home; two brothers, Murray and Harvey, both of West Palm Beach, four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday from J.

E. Lutz Funeral Home, Mount Penn with the Rev. Dr. Frank E. Reynolds, pastor of St.

Bearers were Earl Weber, Bruce Weber, Jack Saylor, Robert Hetrick, William Christman and Richard Wells. Funeral services for John Fakete, 76, widower of Mary (Martin) Fakete, 518 Starr Phoenixville, will be 1 p.m. Saturday from Ennis Funeral Home, 223 2nd Phoenixville.

The Rev. Robert Brillhart, retired pastor, will officiate. Interment will be in St. Cemetery, Phoenixville. A viewing will be this evening at the funeral home.

Mr. Fakete died Tuesday night in Phoenixville Hospital, where he was a patient two weeks. Born in Tompkins Cove, N.Y., he was a son of the late Albert and Elizabeth (Magyar) Fakete. He was employed many years by the former Ciba Corp, Kimberton. He was last em- ployed at the Munsey Products Kimberton, retiring a year ago.

He was a 55-year member of the Phoenix Hose Hook and Ladder and the Woodmen of the World. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Mary Jane Kachmar, 300 Spring Royersford; two sisters, Mrs. Margaret Fabo, Arizona; Elizabeth, wife of Gustav Gombos, 394 Anderson Phoenixville; six brothers, Stephen, 615 Nutt Road, Phoenixville; Albert, Philadelphia; William, Spring Mount; Louis, Florida; Joseph, Banjamin Benjamin Franklin Highway, Pottstown RD Andrew, Trailer Park, Spring City; three grandchildren and one grandchild. Helen Stetler Mrs. Ruth Brile dies at age 54 Mrs. Ruth M. (Stauffer) Brile, 54, widow of Franklin W. Brile, 25 Diehl Drive, Gilbertsville, died Thursday evening in Pottstown Memorial Medical Center, where she was a patient three weeks.

She was ill the past year. Arrangements, which are incomplete, are being handled by Houck Funeral Home, Grace and Charlotte streets. Icebergs CHICAGO (AP) A Saudi Arabian prince said Wednesday that a plan now being studied to tow giant icebergs to his oil-rich, desert nation would have a dual purpose: Supplying fresh water and perhaps changing the climate. Mrs. Stetler died Wednesday at Pottstown Memorial Medical Center after a long illness. Born in Pottstown, she was a daughter of the late Daniel and Sarah (Levengood) Biehl. Amaturo rites Funeral services for Mrs. Evelyn M.

(Barber) Amaturo, 29, wife of Frank J. Amaturo, Amity Gardens Apartments, Douglassville, were Thursday from the Warker Funeral Home, 726 High St. Mass of Christian Burial was con-celebrated in St. Aloysius Roman Catholic Church. The Rev.

Francis X. Reily, the Rev. John Graham, both of St. Martin of Tours Roman Catholic Church, New York, N.Y., and the Rev. Daniel P.

Devine, assistant pastor of St. Aloysius Roman Catholic Church, were celebrants. Interment was in St. Aloysius New Cemetery. Bearers were William Barber, Peter Barber, Larry Amaturo, Joseph Delfino, Peter Sanchirico and Joseph Coppola.

Vigil services were Wednesday evening at the funeral home with Father Devine officiating. She was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church, and the Ladies Auxiliary of the Salvation Army. Surviving with her widower are three sons, James 27 W. 9th J. Daniel, 325 Schaffer Road, New Hanover Township; David 121 King St; one daughter, Mrs.

Judith S. Drobnick, Griffith Towers; two sisters, Elizabeth, wife of Thomas Matternes, Palmyra; Dorothy, wife of William Embody, 325 Manatawny and four grandchildren.
