Obituary JAMES J. MURPHY JR. U. S. Consul at Hamburg Berlin, Jan.

7 (U.P.).- James Joseph Murphy 53, United States Consul General at Hamburg, died last night of cerebro-spinal meningitis, it was announced today. Murphy, a native of Philadelphia, was graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 1911. He began his consular career in 1916 as Vice Consul at Geneva.
