picture directed by Sherman Scott, screen play by George Bricker from story by Raymond L. Schrock and William Pierce, presented at the Central Theatre. THE CAST: Mayer keep him busy while at home, as they are turning these detective yarns into film in rapid succession. The latest to hit the screen, "Sky Murder," now at the Criterion Theatre, is a confused tale of espionage, kidnaping and sudden death. While Nick is flying back to New York from a visit to Washington, he runs into a murder mystery that involves him in an espionage investigation.

He had refused, previously, to come to the aid of Senator Monrose, head of a Senate committee trying to track down enemy agents, since it was, Carter admitted, outside his line. But murder is another matter and right up Nick's alley, so when it is established that the victim was a member of a foreign gang, Jimmy' Parker James Dunn Mary Mulvaney- FTames Giffoi-d -tieonre Douglas Meve Brady- Michael Mulvauey Martin Sneliman IjiIu Driscoil Rit Ij Rov rnnrnv Efklit; Fetherton Mulvauey Guy ITsher Duke JurKena Paul Brrar ranbie Edwin Miller to 'I I -John Dilson Pill Lannifran Mile Hanover-Corrine Hill Dave O'Fnen Anna Lisa firearms which are to be run into Mexico. "The Range Busters" gallops along at a lively pace and the mystery of the murdering ghost peps up the usual western tricks. John King has joined Ray Corrigan and Max Terhune to complete the threesome that was broken up by the advance of Robert Livingston to leading man roles in Hollywood. Supporting the featured players are Luana Walters, Leroy Mason, Earle Hodgins, Frank La Rue and Duke Matthews.

Dunn finds it not very good work, but it's all he can get. Worked into this humdrum idea is a jewel robbery by the fiance of a glamorous movie star which produces the thrills and laughs and ultimately makes a hero of the unsuspecting and much maligned skip-tracer. The presentation of "Hold That Woman," is better than the production. That the picture has been put together with as little expense as possible is evident but it is invested with humor and clever situations.

And the acting is all right. Supporting Dunn and Miss Gifford are George Douglas, Martin Spellman, Rita La Roy, Anna Lisa and Guy Usher.
