Lady Montgomery declares that her son "is anxious to get hold of Rommel in order to have a long talk with him, and you may be sure that if it is at all possible he will do so." What Gen. Montgomery) had a talk over breakfast with another Axis general Gen. von Thoma a talk that probably profited him a .great deal in his plans. Lady Montgomery stated that her ' son, a great believer in prayer, reads j his Bible every day. She told howj the General, when stationed in Pal-1 estine some years ago, "was so in-i terested in places with Biblical associations that he wandered through the country with his Bible in his hand." "I always insist on saying that the General is an Irishman because the Irish are great fighters," Lady Montgomery, who was interviewed at her estate in County Donegal, continued. "I have five sons serving the Empire in various capacities, and I I am proud of all of them." has been riding back and forth from his home to his work on the horse. Mr. Waterman reports for work at 7 a. m. and when the noon whistle blows he goes out to the shed, where he keeps the horse, and pins on the feedbag for the horse before he has his own lunch. Mr. Waterman and his wife, Linda, who is also employed at the tannery, now engaged in defense work, are now saving to purchase a second horse so that Mrs. Waterman can join her husband in his horseback rides to work. At present, Mrs. Waterman takes the bus to work and in this way she can leave in the morning after getting her husband's breakfast and she also arrives home ahead of him J in ine evening and has his dinner i on ine laoie when he arrives.
