Garland, Boston lawyer, was stopped by the National Association of Women Lawyers, ruled out of order and was not permitted to finish his speech.

Lawyer Garland came into the convention of the women lawyers during the morning business session, at the Hotel Bradfcrrd. He was not scheduled as a guest speaker. He presented himself and was introduced by the presiding officer as the bearer of greetings from the Massachusetts Bar Association. The Massachusetts Bar Association was to have brought greetings yesterday when the convention opened, and Henry R. Mayo was scheduled as the guest speaker.

Starting in to talk about good lawyers and "shyster" lawyers, attorney Garland talked on some time and suddenly launched a "Republican campaign speech" as one of the protesters designated it. Manager Mickey Cochrane caught eight innings in Chicago the other day, but did not feel very well after the stunt and said he did not expect to do any more catching this season. He will rest up after the close of the season and undergo an operation before the opening of next season. Wilson had won six games this season and lost four. It was a good baseball day with about 4000 fans in the stands at game time.
