There were other cases, he added, pointing strongly to some emotional complex not yet fully recognized and not analyzed, as the cause of accidents. "There is a field here." said Dr Cleeton, "for clinical study in street car accidents and probably in other types of traffic accidents." A new type of accident testing and ANN ARBOR. Mich.

Sept 5 (A P) A new possibility for reducing the great American annual accident toll through discovery that hidden traits of character cause accidents was reported tc the American Psychological Association today. This "accident character" has apparently nothing to do with the coordination, physical qualities and attention whose lack is often the cause of smashups. It was found In a study of the accidents of street car motormen re at Broadway and Inman st, Cambridge. Riding in the Michaels car "were Mrs Marian Michaels. 24, who suffered lacerations of the right hand and possible loss of her right thumb; and their two children, Sidney and Meryle, 7 and 8 years old, who escaped with minor injuries.

Also the car was Mrs Michaels' mother, Mrs Ida Savransky, 58, of 122 Trowbridge st, Cambridge, who suffered a fracture of the left leg. Michaels suffered minor injuries. Injured in the Bessone car were the operator and his sister. Miss Mary both of whom suffered minor bruises. The Michaels car traveled 125 feet after th collision, careening over the sidewalk into the Harvard Grammar School yard, coming to a stop against the door leading into the cellar.

The passengers were t.ken to Cambridge Hospital. After a conference yesterday between the Chelsea Board of Health and Supt of Schools George C. Francis, it was decided to open the schools on the scheduled date, Sept 9. There are 12 cases of infantile paralysis reported in the city so far.

The Chelsea officials made their decision following an opinion from the State Health Department to the effect that the children would be less likely to suffer if they were in school and under the supervision of nurses assigned to the schools. In keeping with the decision on the public schools, parochial schools in Chelsea will likewise open on the scheduled dates. The Assumption Parochial School opened yesterday, with 500 pupils being registered. The Revere school committee voted to reopen the schools next Monday. There are only three cases of infantile paralysis in Revere.

Of the 48 cases of the disease reported to the State Health Department yesterday, five in Fall River were the only cases from the district SOUth of Boston. CamhrMn. training macnine backed up the evidence for an emotional accident wiiu non-support and cruelty. The complaint was filed by Miss Carroll's attorney, Wayne T. Wilson of Reno.

Apparently not completely satisfied as to the legality of the Mexican divorce obtained by Mallory, Hollywood editor, prior to his recent marriage to 14-year-old Carlota Lobato in Mexico, the actress has resided on a guest ranch south of Reno for the last six weeks, determined to obtain her own divorce decree. No appearance in the Carson City action has been filed by Bolton and Wilson said he did not know when the case will be tried. Miss Carroll and Mallory, to whom she was married in January, 1931. have been separated for about a year and a half. Mallory, former editor of "Life," started his divorce proceedings against Miss Carroll in Ometepeco, State of Guerrerc.
