Classified Display Priest Dies At Middletown Pontifical Mass of Requiem to Be Celebrated by Bishop Leech The Rev. Leo B. Kirchner, 46, pastor of Catholic Church of the Seven Dolors of the Blessed Vir gin, Middletown, died Saturday at the rectory. Born in Lancaster, he studied for the priesthood at St. Vincent's College and Seminary, Latrobe, and was ordained in St.

Patrick's Cathedral in 1921 by the late Bishop Philip' R. McDevitt. He served at St. Francis, Harrisburg, and later became the first pastor of St. Paul's Church.

He remained in Annville until 1934 when he was named pastor of the Church of St. Mary, Help of Christians, at Lykens. He came to Middletown from the Lykens charge. He is survived by four sisters, Sister Valerie, the Order of St. Francis, stationed at Catasaqua; Miss Albertina, Glenside, and Miss Mary and Mrs.

Anna Long, Lan caster, and six brothers, Fred, Philadelphia; Marcus, Wilming ton, and George, Roman, Valentine and Othmar, all of Lan caster. Pontifical mass of requiem will be celebrated by the Most Rev. George L. Leech, LV J. C.

LORENZ Services for Dr. Edward Simon Lorenz, 88, well known hymn writer and former president of Lebanon Valley College, Annville, were held today at Dayton, Ohio. Dr. Lorenz was a graduate of Otterbein College and Yale Divinity School. In 1936 Lebanon Valley College gave him the honorary degree of doctor of letters.
