Former President of Boston College on Road to Recovery, Reports from Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital at Hot Springs, where last Monday Rev Thomas I. Gasson, SJwas operated on, are to the effect that the well-known former president of Boston College is In a satisfactory condition and appears to be regaining his itrength. This will be pleasing news to the thousands of friends of Fr Gasson In this vicinity.

Following the operation, Fr Gasson was quite weak for a day or two, but after the middle of the week he began to show signs of Improvement and the surgeon's report on him for yesterday is most encouraging. Dr P. T. Geyerman, the Burgeon who performed the operation, is well known In the Far West and he is giving FY Gasson particular attention. Dr Geyer-man's report to the Globe on his condition for yesterday was as follows: "Fr Gasson is steadily improving.

His condition today is very satisfactory. Hia pulse and temperature are practically normal. Has slept a great deal today and he is very bright and more cheerful this evening. Is taking sufficient norulshment and we are looking lor his recovery." It will be seen from Dr Geyerman's report that he Is quite well satisfied with the progress of the patient and as there is no intimation of any recurrence of tiie early weakness that was reported, it is apparent that Fr Gasson's condition through yesterday was the best reported since the operation was performed.
