By MAYME OBER PEAK HOLLYWOOD, Calif, Aug 7-The arrival in Hollywood of Mrs Harold Young 'of Aubumdale, Mass, to visit her daughter, Kathryn Crawford, screen actress, has brought to light ona of those human interest stories upon which a movie drama could be based. After nearly 40 years, during which neither knew of the whereabouts of the other, mother and daughter were reunited by a. press agents story from Universal studios, where Miss Crawford Is under contract. It seems that when the actress, whose real name is Kathryn Crawford Moran, was signed up, she gave the usual data for a per.

sonality story for the studio file. She stated that her father, Michael Moran, and her mother, Ann Scott Moran, were divorced 4n Elmira, when she was 5 years old, and she had never seen nor heard from her mother since. With a nose for news, the Universal press agent wrote a personality story around Kathryn Crawfords biography which reached Eastern newspapers. In Elmira a relative of Kathryns got hold of the story and notified a local ppper of the address of the missing mother, who had married Harold Young and was living at Aubumdale. Elmfra papers telephoned Young, who complicated matters by declaring he knew nothing of the of a daughter.

Eventually, through a Bos-ton paper, Mrs Young was discovered working in a hotel. She admitted her Identity and was at once put In touch with her daughter la Hollywood, by long distance. Plana were quickly made for reunion, and Kabteryne sister Margaret, who had come West with her father and sister when a child, and is now employed as a secretary in a local firm, went at once to Boston to bring her mother to Hollywood.
