The youngster resembled his dead brother very much in form and features. although he is much smaller. He followed pace very much the same. He could ride a bicycle. but he was not strongenough. His pacemakers kept him on the bank all the time, and naturally made it harder work for the boy.

nettling followed pace the better of the two. On the Iasi lap of the sixth mile Neleon started to go up by inches, and at the end of another lap. he was leading for the first time in the contest. He opened up a gap of five yards, but nettling on the next mile was trailing him. At 10 miles Nelson was about live yards ahead.

On the beginning of the 14th mile nettling rushed to the front and Nelson lost his stride and almost went into the center. He recovered himself, but on the he was shaken. He then rode an entire lap unpaced very etrong, but it was all over. Mett'ing won bv three-quarters of a lap. Time 26m 25 2-53.
