The enterprising proprietors of the Chilliwack Sash and Door Factory are having a very neat and complete price list, in pamphlet form, publish ed at tins office, which will be out in a fw davs. The gentlemen at the head of this new industry are well and favorably known here as upright business men, which is a guarantee in Ueelf of their future success. What marriage will bring you in life and joy when it comes, depends in a very large measure what you are in vouth. 1 see young men and women in regard to whom one would be al most safe to prophesy that marriage will bring them but a scant blessing. They are spoiling themselves ior their future by flirtation, i do not mean to include iu that word what may grow to be budding of a true and conjugal love.

But, outside that, there is such a thing us playing at love, or trifling with love. Granted even that both of you understand that it is ouly a little bit of play you are engaged in, is love not too serious a thinL too saored a thing, thus to be trifled with? You are cheapening one of God's best gifts, you are rubbing off the bloom irom the fair sweet flower of love, and that bloom, once rubbed off, you will scarcely restore in alter years. Love is too precious to be frittered away for amusement. You will want all its strength and freshness when you give your heart to another. Keep it sacred.

It is a treasure to be guarded for that other to whom your life will be linked not to be dribbled away in unmanly and unwomanly trifling. Squander it uow and you run the risk of bankruptcy in the future. The flirt we call heartless, and rightly; there is no high ideal of marriage there, no reserve of love to make it successful. No man or woman who feels what conjugal love may be, and what it may accom plish, will dare to trifle with it. Odds and Ends.

One of the horses fell, but no injuries of a severe nature were sustained. Local matter, of interest, is like hen's teeth lew and lar between. If nothing locally happens before our next issue, we will be obliged to draw largely upon our imagination.

What the preaching is for. There is a story that some children had a discussion concerning the cervices in one of our fashionable temples, One younster who had reached the mature age of seven, said "I'd juit like to know what preaching is for.
