3 STAR known as WHP's ambassador to tne court oi xvns rvruigie, will launch a series of daily trips to the North Pole to deliver the mail to Santa Claus. Each evening, Monday through Friday, at 5.15, the radio man will leave the studios on the "Magic to make his fast trip to Santa Claus Land. It has been suggested that all kiddies who wish to contact Santa Claus do so early this year. There is always the possibility that someone's letter may not be delivered before the dead line. So if there are any special messages for Santa Claus they should be forwarded to WHP, addressed to Santa Claus.

And, of course, there is the added inconvenience of the Freight Embargo, which limits the size of packages that can be shiDoed during the neit few weeks. In the course of the broadcast there will be an eye witness ac count of the Kadio Man's trip to Santa's Castle; Santa will read the mail delivered on that par ticular day and the Radio Man will give descriptions oi tne vari ous toys that are under construe tion. to be delivered Christmas Eve if all goes well, in the work shops of Santa's Castle. Hildegarde Host To Herb Shriner And Dean Murphy Impressionist Dean Murphy and comedian Herb Shriner are ring side guests Sunday, Dec. 8 on Columbia network's "The Camp bell Room Starring Hilde garde." "Together Again" tells the hila rious tale of the young and at tractive lady mayor of a small New England the widow of its former mayor, who goes to New York to commission a sculp tor to remodel a statute of her late husband.

While in the city, she visits a night club with the sculp tor, is mistaken for a strip tease dancer and ends up in jail. Joseph Fuchs will be soloist in th major Violin Concerto. Orchestral numbers include the Overture Fantasy, "Romeo and Juliet" and the "Nutcracker" Suite. At intermission time, Dr. Ira Sprague Bowen speaks on "The 200 Inch Camera." Dr. Bowen is director of the group of atrononv ical observatories and laboratories that includes Mt.

Wilson Observatory and the Palomar Mountain Observatory, the latter under construction. Soloists vie for the assignment to play the Tschaikowsky major Concerto, but it wasn't always thus. Leopold Auer, the great Rus sian virtuoso to whom he originally dedicated the work, pronounced it impossible to play and set it aside. This action, of course, damned the concerto in the eyes of ail the other Russian violinists so that none of them would risk playing it Ironically, the composer learned that the piece had been played at last, by reading a review that lambasted it in a Vienna paper that he happened to pick up in Rome, some three years after his rebuff from Auern Bitter Sweet Good things still come in small packages.
