"When You're Away," "Kiss Me Again," and "A Kiss in the Dark." Tony Martin, the program's singing master of ceremonies, offers "Blue Orchids," Hoagy Carmichael's successor to "Stardust." Kay Thompson and her Rhythm Singers arrange and swing an old ballad, "Time On My Hands." Tune up Time's operatic tenor, David Laughlin, sings am old favorite, Grieg's "Ich Liebe Dich," while the entire ensemble opens the program with "Alia En El Rancho Grande" and closes with "Good Night Sweetheart." Dagwood figures if he shoots his own turkey it will help considerably in reducing the family's Thanksgiving budget. Outcome of his brainstorm is dramatized during the "Blondie" program on WHP Columbia at 7:30 tonight. He and his boss, Mr. Dithers, shoulder blunderbusses. But Mrs.

Dithers puts a fat duck on the spit and is ready when the hunters return empty handed, though with a dozen tall tales. Then Baby Dumpling scores a dramatic bull's eye with his toy gun. Singing of fo'es'le ballads a meals a day, has an interesting American history which will be dramatized in the Gallant Ameri can Women program tomorrow at 2 p. m. over NBC and WKBO.

In fact, Harry didn't wait long on the final day before he dispatched a 200 pound male bear with a nicely placed shot from his .270 Sedgley. In company with Don Carey and another friend, Harry left Harrisburg late Friday night and by 8 Saturday morning was wondering how to get the bear back to the car. Carey, another excellent shot with a high power, was yet to notch his gun with credit for a bear. Don traveled to Canada sometime ago but bruins were so elusive that the trip became a fish catching expedition. The season just closed seemed to be successful to first timers.

Smith and Don Bailey are just two of the many fellows who returned home with bears on the first time out after the big. ambling denizens of the deep woods. Les Butler, superintendent of the Telegraph's composing room, and his party came back empty handed. All are veteran bear hunters. From all reports drifting in from the big woods in the north coun ties, the bears were not as plentiful as some had anticipated.

The hunters also report that grouse in the mountain counties as scarce. Big game hunters are now turning their thoughts to buck deer hunting which opens on December 1. The chances of getting a fat buck is better this year than for several seasons, most important contributing factor to that widespread opinion was the antlerless season last year.
