The Fulton Debating Society held Its most interesting session of the year. The following question was discussed: "Resolved, That a High Protective Tariff Is Advantageous to the Interests of tho American People." The affirmative side was upheld by Daniel J.

Young. '14. of Boston, end Edward A. Sullivan. 11.

of Cambridge. The negative was defended by Leo A. Murray, '14. of Revere. and John R.

Taylor, '14, of Dorshester. Messre Sullivan and Murray spoke in rebuttal. The decision was awarded to the negative by a close vote. Patrick J. Dawson.

'14, of East Boston. was critic. The committee appointed to negotiate with the debating societies from Holy Cross, Georgetown and Fordhain reported that in all probability debates with Fordhaam and Georgetown would be held during the latter part of the Winter, Boston College teams going to Georgetown and the men from Ford-ham coming to Boston. The exact dates and the subjects have not been as yet agreed upon. Trials will be held by the Fulton Society in the early part of January to determine the members of the intercollegiate team.

The joint executive board of Ladies' Cloak, Skirt, Shirtwaist Makers, Cutters and Pressers and Ladies' Tailors and INressmakers' Unions appointed a special committee last night to make a complete investigation of complaints that policemen were interfering with women members of the union in the vicinity of the Ulin Levine factory on Essex at. where the members have been On strike 12 weeks. If the committee finds substantiating evidence it will take the cases to the Police Commissioner.
