Visitation 1-2 p.m., Jan. 31 at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Beach Chapel, Murrells Inlet, SC. SCHULTZ, Edward F. Age 94 of Miamisburg passed away on Tuesday, January 27, 2015 at Kingston of Miamisburg. He was born on September 26, 1920 in Dayton to the late, Ralph Weidle and Margaret McGinn.

Also preceding him in death is his wife of 67 years, Ruth (Zimmerman) Schultz; son, Edward Lee Schultz; daughter, Kay Neff and son-in-law, Ron Neff. Ed is survived by his daughter, Karen (Jim) Schnapp; daughter-in-law, Pat Schultz; grandchildren, Tracey (Michael) Fox, Tamyka (Richard) Evans, Doug (Kristie) Schultz, Tony (Amber) Schnapp, Andrea (Matt) Stotler, Jeff and Jason Howard; great-grandchildren, Jessica Fox, Luke and Ethan Schultz, Logan and Lainey Schnapp and Ryann Evans; special friends, Judy Murray, David and Vicki Thomas and many other extended family and friends. Ed graduated from Miamisburg HS in 1938 and worked at Chrysler Air-Temp for over 39 years. He worked with Suttman's Men and Boys Clothing for 20 years, was past President of the Miamisburg Alumni and Miamisburg Band Association, while also being an honored alumni. Ed is a 33rd degree Mason Ancient Accepted, Scottish Rite Valley of Dayton, past Worshipful Master in the year of 1955 and a 70 year member of Minerva Lodge a dedicated secretary of Minerva Lodge for 45 years, Trinity Chapter member for 69 years, a High Twelve member, Valley Commandery member for 67 years and a past Illustrious Master Adoniram Council member for 67 years.

Ed's family would like to thank the staff of Kingston, especially the A Hall nurses, Becky Kelley, Peggy Jenkins, Theresa Tschanz, the STNA's of day shift, Lori Rush, Denise Hall, Kelly Klosterman, Regina Hall and the staff of Heartland Hospice for all of their wonderful care and support. Friends and family may visit from 10am-11am on Saturday, January 31 at Gebhart-Schmidt- Parramore Funeral Home followed by the funeral service at 11am with Pastor Steve Smith officiating. com PHILLIPS, John Thomas Age 68, of Jacksonville, Florida, and formerly of Franklin, OH; died Sunday January 25, 2015 at St. Vincent Hospital. He was born in Berkley, California on February 3, 1946 to Paul and Helen (Cast) Phillips. He graduated from Carlisle High School class of 1964. John served in the U.S.

Navy for 15 years during the Vietnam War. He was retired as a dental lab technician following 40 years of service He was preceded in death by his father, Paul Phillips, mother, Helen Phillips, his first wife, Shirley Phillips; two brothers Paul and Chadwick Phillips. John is survived by his second wife Kathy (Gladman) Phillips; three daughters, Kim (Curt) Vaughn, Karen (Ellis) Shockley, Kelley (Paul) Gray; Son, John Thomas (Tara) Phillips 11 grandchildren; 1 great grandson; two sisters, Deliah (Bud) Clouse, Patricia (Gene) Schartz; numerous nieces nephews and other family. Born in Carrolton, GA to Annie Ruth Holland and Lewis Moreland. Horace attended the Carrollton County Training School in Georgia through the 6th grade. He served in the Army during peacetime as a Private working as a service man. Horace began working at WPAFB in 1956 and retired November 2, 1979. He was preceded in death by his father, Lewis Moreland and mother, Annie Ruth Holland and siblings: brothers, Adolf, Sammy (Cora), Oscar Jr.

and sisters, Beulah, Ruby and Alice. His grandmother, Jane Stokes and grandfather, Daniel Moreland. Kenneth spent the majority of his working career for over 30 years as the Art Director for South-Western Publishing Company in Cincinnati. Since his retirement, he has spent the last years as a school bus driver (special needs) for Centerville City Schools. He truly loved this job. Kenneth attended Ohio University and was a graduate of the Pittsburgh Institute of Art. He was and avid painter and and an enthusiastic boater and camper.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 31, 2015, from the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME- BEAVERCREEK CHAPEL, 3970 Dayton-Xenia Road at Grange Hall Road with Reverend Steve Kimpel officiating. of Atlanta, Ga. and two grandsons, Tyler and Jordan Morse. Rogge Morse is a 1944 graduate of the University of Dayton and attended Northwestern and Columbia for post-graduate studies in English and drama. She received her master's degree from UD in 1977, which is the same year she began teaching communications at UD. Rogge Morse was awarded a doctor of humane letters in 1999 from UD for her service to the university.

Rogge Morse hosted the variety show "The Bette Rogge Show" from 1967 to 1977 on WHIO-TV interviewing nationally known celebrities and figures. She was inducted to the Dayton Area Broadcasters Hall of Fame in 2003 and continued her career as a broadcaster on local cable TV in the 1990s and 2000s. She was a philanthropist supporting the community she loved and her alma mater. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to UD, Hospice of Dayton or the Salvation of Army of Dayton. Donald is survived by his beloved wife of 46 years JoAnn (nee Kiss) McGlone, daughter Michelle, son and daughter-in-law Jeff and Holly McGlone.

Also surviving are three grandchildren Abbigayle, Joseph and Emily Hodge, brother and sister-in-law Michael and Barb McGlone, sister and brother-in-law Patricia and David Wentz, many nieces, nephews and his grand-dogs Lawrence and Eugene. He was preceded in death by his parents Elroy and Mary (nee Sommer) McGlone and sister Jean McGlone. Donald was a US Air Force Veteran, former member of St. Anthony Catholic Church and a member of St. John's Catholic Church.

Dick retired from after 43 years of services. He was an avid fisherman who spent many hours with his fishing buddies. Patricia Umana(Deady) was born October 25, 1937 in Springfield Ohio. She was a graduate of Catholic Central High School, Springfield Ohio. Pat was a proud homemaker in Vandalia Ohio where she lived for over 50 years.

She was involved in the community as a volunteer at Saint Elizabeth Hospital, Good Samaritan Hospital, election poll volunteer, Mothers Club University of Dayton and various church activities at St. Christopher's Catholic Church. Although Pat had chronic health issues since birth she was always smiling and witty, even the day before she passed away. She is preceded in death by her sisters Betty and Martha. She is survived by her husband Rafael Umana, son Greg Umana wife Kristy, Rafael Alvarado wife, Guustie, and brothers, Roger and Ray Deady.

She is blessed with seven grandchildren; Luke, Brittany, Erika, Andrew, Raul with wife Lauren, Alexander, Mariah and great grandson Jebadiah. Services will be held Saturday, January 31, at St. Christopher Church 435 E. National Vandalia Ohio. Visitation will be at 10am followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 11am with Fr.

SHEPARD-MOORE, Barbara L. Age 84 of Troy and formerly of Dayton, passed away Tuesday, January 27, 2015. She was born September 1, 1930 in Dayton to the late Lloyd and Katherine Newbauer. Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Nollie "Bob" Moore; son, Dale Shepard; siblings, Margaret, Kenny Newbauer, Merle Newbauer, Bob Newbauer and Lois Kemper. She is survived by her son, Larry (Autumn) Shepard; grandchildren, James (Leah) McDaniel, Scott Shepard, Stephanie (Ethan) Spahr, Wesley (Jackie) Shepard, Destiny Temple, Lyndsey (Brian) Crescenzi, Taylor Shepard; daughter-in-law, Dahlia Shepard; close friend and caregiver, Mary Girardot; numerous great- grandchildren, great great- grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family and friends.

John was a proud veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of the Ohio Bell Pioneers, the Jolly Jets camping club (NCHA) and the Troy Fish and Game. John enjoyed being the best fix-it man, playing guitar and listening to country music, riding bicycles and made some of the best caramels and fudge. He was the glue that kept us together, through the good times and the bad. John is survived by his wife of 62 years: Janice (Storer) Ragon, daughters: Becky (Jim) Mahle of Vandalia, Cindy Ragon of Englewood, grandchildren: Amanda (Mark) Gerlach, Kimberly (Stephen) Welker, Lindsay Schultz and Eric Schultz.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 sisters and 2 brothers. The family would like to thank the Hospice of Dayton nurses and aides for the great care given to John. He left a void that cannot be filled, and our family will never be the same without him.
