The head coach of the Harvard team and the head coach of the Princeton team will each write for Globe readers an expert opinion on the Yale-Princeton game in Boston Latin defeated Dorchester High in the Boston High School League series. 12 to 0, and Boston Trade School beat Mechanic Arts High by the same score In a double-header at Braves Field yesterday afternoon. More than 3500 fans turned out. Considering the uncertainty of the footing, the football uncovered by all four teams was fialrly good- Boston Latin's triumph over Dorchester High was unexpected. The Purple and White was greatly strengthened by the return of Johnny Nordberg.

the slippery little halfback, who was declared eligible the day before the game. Nordberg played a great game. Dorchester won the toss and kicked on In the curtain raiser. After a couple of rushes, punts were exchanged. Nordberg opened with a 45-yard run through Dorchester's left side, carrying the ball to the 24-yard mark.

A fumble gave the ball to the losers, but thev were forced to kick. An exchange of kicks was to the advantage of the South End School, due to McDermott's fine running back of the punts. These men will watch the TTmceton-Yale game with hopes of getting advance dope on the type of game that Tad Jones Is likely to bring to Boston next Saturday. The men will leave Boston for New Haven at 8:30 this The team that faces Brown is far from nf inp as inexperienced as in past years, 1 tince the dearth of real first-string material in the earlv season made it necessary for the coaches to do more experimenting than usual and as a result almost every man starting today has figured in one or more games already. This is especially true of the back-field with three letter men and a star of the early season games. Cratwick.

Churchill and Johnson all laved against Yale last year, while Cratwick made his letter the year before also. Jenkins is the fastest man on the squad and is sure to get lots of ground if given proper interference. The line too is experienced and heavy. Jan-in is second only to Crocker and Macomber, the regulars, and Field has appeared in many games. Lockwood, Kunhardt, Crew, Brocker and Holder have all appeared in games this season and last.

Ladd and Chapin will be on the sidelines today and will be sent in if need-0, 1 but will be held to the last. The coaches are anxious to win this game, but will not risk possible material for the Yale game to do so. The practice yesterday was of the usual easy' Friday sort, consisting of tunning down under kicks and receiving kickofTs. Time, 12 and XSm periods. the chances are that the teams will go Riley on the field an even For two successive years Andover has humbled Exeter and popular expectation is that it will annex its third successive game. One dyed-in-the-wool football expert, who has watched both teams perform, is inclined to favor Lx-eter's chances of winning, because of the condition of the field after the rain. Kxeter will have an advantage of 10 pounds per man in weight and that fact mav be a deciding factor. Exeter resorts mainly to straight football.

while Andover counts on the speed of its backs to offset whatever advantage Exeter possesses. Andover, however will certainly be at a disadvantage if the field is muddy and it may cost her the game. Exeter Line Much Heavier The Exeter line averages something like 190 pounds. It will be recalled that Exeters line played Andovers to a standstill a year ago, and with many of its veterans back in their old positions the former is likely to be even bettex today. Clement Coady of Newton nnd Thomas Driscoll of Boston are the Exeter tackles and they rank with the best that the New Earn pshire school has had in years.

The guards are William Van Lengen and Roland Smart, who weigh 187 and 193 pounds, respectively, and both are forwards of first-class ability. Bill Forrest, the center, who comes from Stoneham, is an Technical School product and tips the scales at 178 pounds. Both of Exeters ends. Clyde Bingham, brother of Bill Bingham, who weighs 176, and Ben Butterworth, son of Frank Butter-worth of Yale football fame, weighs 182 PAndover has at left end Stanley Gill who weighs 164, and Edwin Wolfe, the other end, a veteran of two years, tips the scales at 169. They rank with the leading ends that the Bay State School has had In the past five or six years.

Capt Leo Daley at left tackle weighs 176 pounds and will be outweighed at least 20 pounds by Coady of Exeter. Donald Gray, another Newton boy, who plays right tackle for Andover, is 20 pounds lighter than Tom Driscoll of Exeter. Daniel Allen of Andover weighs 178 pounds and Roland Smart of Exeter will have five pounds advantage over him. Van Johnstone will play right guard for Andover and he Is eight pounds lighter than W4111am Van Lengen of Exeter. The two quarterbacks will naturally play an Important part In the game and whoever uses the better judgment and takes advantage of his opponents weakness Ms likely to come out victorious.

Capt Joe McGlone of Exeter, who halls from Natick, has been on the injured list all Fall and whether he will be at his best is a matter of doubt. When himself he can drive his team and get good results and much of Exeters success depends upon his Judgment and selection of plays. Andover Quarter a Star Alexander Sayles will pilot the Andover eleven, and from all reports he has covered himself with glory. He has a good head, picks his holes like a veteran, and Is rather handy in carrying himself. Comparing the two backfields there seems to be a decided edge in the weight question in Exeters favor, and on a wet field this will aid the New Hampshire eleven.

Exeter will in all probability start Marion Cheek of Jtrookline at left halfback and Mark McIntyre at right halfback, with Jack Reed at fullback. Carl Lundeli, the ex-Boston High School of Commerce halfback, may be called Into the game because of his speed, but with a muddy and slippery field he would be under a handicap. Andover has In Robert Downes, the Haverhill High halfback of a year ago. a most consistent ground gainer at right halfback. Louts Wlenecke, left halfback, is.

a shifty player. John Deigaan, the fullback. Is a hard-hitting line bucker, but whether he is the equal of Jack Reed of Exeter, remains to be eftnia expected that all reports for at-tendancr figures at an Andover-Exeter game will be broken.
