she frightened her butler by appearing from the upper floor of her duplex apartment dressed as an immigrant woman. One of Mrs. Berg's best sources of material is an East Side Woman's Club where she is registered as a member under the name of Tillie Berger. Like other members, she pays three dollars a year in dues. At regular intervals, Mrs.

Berg puts her hair up in curlers, wears an old coat and hat and goes down to the Club for an afternoon of gossip and knitting. Mrs. Berg is rarely recognized on her visits as "Molly" of "The Goldbergs." Most of the radio audience visualize her as a much older woman wearing a gingham apron. Actually, she is in her thirties, and dresses smartly. When a group of school children visited her at the CBS studios, they wouldn't believe that Mrs.

Berg was "Molly." She proved to them that she was the mother of "The Goldbergs" by reading several lines from that day's script. For her opening program on March 3, Joan has selected "With Twist of the Wrist," "High on a Windy Hill," "Morning After," and "Here's My Heart." "Morning After" is to be Joan's piano num ber. For her March 5 program, Joan has scheduled "Just Quote Me," It All Comes Back to Me Now," The Wise Old Owl," "Two in a Perfect Dream." "Girl About Town" for March includes "Amapola," "How Lit tle You Know," "There'll Be Some Changes Made," and "I Hear a Rhapsody." Chester Stratton, who plays Monte Kayden in CBS's dramas, The O'Neills." threw a house warming party in his new apart ment in Manhattan on the night of one of the winter's heaviest snows and his guests surprised him by driving to the party in a sleigh.
