Jaycees District C-l has recognition dinner West Milton Jaycees was the host chapter for the District C-l awards dinner Saturday evening. Steve Langdon of the Greenville Jaycees was elected district vice president. He replaces Bob Metzcar, who resigned due to a change in job responsibilities. District first quarter awards were presented: They included the Spoke Award to Tom Melvin, West Milton; Spark Award to Randy and the Speak-Up Award to Larry Ford, West Milton. First place district Softball award went to Ansonia Jaycees, with Arcanum receiving second.

District volleyball trophies were given to Piqua, third; Greenville, second; and first place honors to Arcanum. The outstanding first quarter chapter was West Milton. Outstanding chapter -for the second quarter was Bradford. The second quarter Spoke Award was presented to Mike Wertz and the Spark Award to Ron Trego, both of West Milton. Certificates from the president of the Ohio Jaycees for Growth Chapter were given to Ansonia and Arcanum Jaycees.

Certificates from the Ohio Jaycees were given to the chairman and co-chairman for their participation in the District project "Operation Begin." Special recognition was given Jaycee-ettes from Greenville, Piqua, and West Milton for their support during "Operation Begin." The District President's Council will take place in Piqua, Dec. 8, at the Jaycee Hall. People in the news GETTYSBURG, Pa.
