Both Miss Hughes and Nelson are former members of the San Francisco Opera Company, where they sang lead roles. She has taught voice here several years.

Griffin, a voice teacher, is active in many music organizations. He is vice president of the El Paso Community Concert past president of El Paso Chapter, National Society of Art3 and Letters, and has directed the Civic Chorus. Guthrie is a graduate of the Yale Music School. A pianist and musie teacher, he also is director of music at Ft Bliss Center Chapel. Dr.

Thormodsgaard is chairman of the music department of Texas Western College. For the past nine years, his department has given annual presentations of major operas including "Faust" and Boi-to's "Mefistofele." The two-act "Pagliacci" by Leoncavallo was first presented May 21, 1892, in Milan, and has become a popular favorite the world over.
