Continued from Page 2 Producer Herb Brodkin put her in an episode of "The Nurses," where she met the actor who had originally fingered her for the blacklist, and followed that with an appearance in another of his TV series, "The Defenders," both in New York. She then moved to Hollywood and a regular role in the nighttime "Peyton Place" series and her career was back on track again. How did she spend those 12 years missing from her career? "I was fighting the blacklist," she said. "It was an educational period for me.

I developed a sixth sense politically." In fact, she'll figure in a movie about the blacklist era, not as an actress but as one of the characters in the play. "Woody Allen is doing a movie on the blacklist," she said.Tfs about my husband and two other writers who write under the table.
