10. Malachi Bites, a pioneer, Is dead at his home here. He was eighty eight years 6Jd, having been born in Franklin county, Pennsylvania, April 8', 1827. Mr. Sites, thus lived through most of, the history of the United States, and he saw many historic events and helped to build 'this part o.f country, clearing, land and engaging, in farming.
