year old Frederick Morris, who has been known to the school officials and courts here as an Incorrigible for two years, is in St. hospital recovering from an operation which is expected to make a good boy of him. He was a studious, obedient and lovable child before he fell down a fire escape in 1909 and injured his head. He became refractory at home and school then and developed thievish tendencies that brought him into court and resulted in his being placed on probation. Two weeks ago the family physician took him to the hospital and the Xray revealed a lesion of the brain.

An operation performed to remove the pressure and his condition has improved so much that he will be sent home this week. The boy is said to have changed wonderfully. The sneak- ish look is gone and he is bright and cheerful. The surgeons declare that the operation has restored him to a normal condition.
