Seeks Help While in Jail An Ottawa man, who wants help for a severe alcoholic problem, was sentenced to three months in jail and had his driv ing privileges suspended for six years when he pleaded guilty to four driving offences before Judge Sherwood Friday. Milton Robert Rivington, 48, of 198 Macy Boulevard, Apt. 410, pleaded guilty to two charges of impaired driving and two charges of driving while disqualified. Judge Sherwood said he would recommend that Rivington be allowed to spend the final month of his sentence at an alcoholic treatment centre in Mimico. The suspension is composed of two consecutive terms of three years each on the impaired charges.

Train, Plow Collide Damage Heavy RENFREW (Special) The driver of a snowplow which was hit Thursday by a CNR freight train near Glasgow Sta tion, 10 miles east of Renfrew, was not hurt in the collision William Melanson, RR 2 Amprior, was driving a plow owned by McNab Town ship when the accident hap pened. The front of Hie plow was caueht bv the etteine and spun sideways. Six freighr-cars were ripped along the side by the blade before the train came to a stop.
