and Mrs. Sam Nulton, Shermans Dale, were united in marriage on Oct. 15 at the couple's new home. The bride is the granddaughter of Anne Mudrak and Lillian Mayka of Mountaintop. The Rev.

Eugene Moore officiated the double-ring ceremony, which was followed by a reception at the Embers in Carlisle. A rehearsal dinner was hosted by Mr. and Mrs. Sam Nulton at the County Depot in Newport. The bride, given in marriage by her father, chose Marcl Mowery as matron of honor.

Bridesmaids were CamiUe and Danielle Mayka, Kathryn Carrier and Karyn Carl. Richard Dishman served as best man. Ushers were David Mayka, Stephen Nulton, John Nulton and Alan Collier. Readings were performed by Deborah Mudrak, cousin of the bride, and Klmberley Perkey. Andrea Balavage, soloist, was accompanied by CamiUe and Danielle Mayka.

Additional music was performed by Evelyn Spotts, aunt of the groom. The bride is a graduate of Crestwood High School and Pennsylvania State University. She is employed as an environmental scientist with Mc-Cormick Taylor Engineering firm in Harrisburg. The groom is a graduate of West Perry High School and the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown. He was awarded his P.E.

in civil engineering and works for Gannett Fleming of Camp Hill. Following a trip to Jamaica, the couple lives in Shermans Dale. Mr. and Mrs. Dlangel Batista Brenda Marie Brislin weds Diangel Batista Mr.

and Mrs. Kenneth Brislin of Lily Lake announce the marriage of their daughter, Brenda Marie, to Diangel Batista, son of Zorida Batista of New Jersey. The couple was united in marriage on Oct. 1, 1994 in a candlelight ceremony at the Forty Fort Meeting House. Pastor Jerry L.

Lewis of the Apostolic Lighthouse officiated. Jan Lewis and Courtney Bayles were soloists. The bride chose Courtney Bayles as her matron of hortor. Rebecca Kenthack and Mia Rinaldi, cousins of the bride, were flower girls. The groom chose Daniel Bayles as best man and Jordan Bayles as ring bearer.

An evening cocktail and dinner reception was hosted by the bride's parents at the Four Hundred Club in Nanticoke. A rehearsal dinner was held at Casey's Inn in Wilkes-Barre. The bride was feted at a shower given by her family at the Italian American Citzens Club in Pittston. Mrs. Batista Is a graduate of John S.

Fine High School and Mansfield University, where she received a bachelor of science degree In child and family services. She is employed as an employment training specialist at United Rehabilitation Services, Wilkes-Barre. Mr. Batista is a graduate of Emerson High School, New Jersey. He is currently employed by Golden Technologies In Exeter and is also a self-employed painter.

The couple honeymooned in the Poconos and Atlantic City, New Jersey. The couple lives In Warrior Run. Mrs. Carmen A. Capitano Kimberly Donnelly weds Carmen Capitano Kimberly Ann Donnelly, daughter of William and Patricia Donnelly, Pittston, and Carmen Anthony Capitano, son of Francis Capitano and De-bra Thomas, both of Pittston, were united in marriage on Saturday, April 29 in St.

Mary's of Cze-stochowa Church, Swoyersville. The Rev. John Sempa performed the double-ring ceremony. Scriptural readings were given by Lori Nocito and Debra Carey, sister of the groom. Offertory gifts were presented by Catherine Ge-chunis and Arthur Imes, godparents of the bride.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, chose Colleen Joyce as her maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Christine Donnelly, sister-in-law of the bride, Andrea Volpetti, Heather Petrochko and Carmella Capitano, cousin of the groom. Serino. An evening cocktail hour and dinner reception followed at the Victoria Inns, Pittston Township. A rehearsal dinner was held at Perugino's Restaurant, Luzerne. The bride was honored at a bridal shower, given by the mother of the bride and bridal attendants, at Genetti's in Wilkes-Barre. Mrs.

Capitano is a 1989 graduate of Pittston Area High School and a 1993 summa cum laude graduate of King's College, Wllkes-Barre. She is employed as a staff writer at the Sunday Dispatch. Mr. Capitano is a 1989 graduate of Pittston Area High School and attended Perm State University and Wilkes University. He is co-owner of Cap's Auto Sales, Wyoming.

Following a honeymoon trip to California, Maui, and Las Vegas, the couple will live in Mrs. Leon B. Ervin Elizabeth S. Mack weds Leon B. Ervin Elizabeth Sara Mack, the daughter of Thomas J.

Mack, Kingston, and Mrs. F. Jorge Abrantes, Kingston, was married on Saturday to Leon Brent Ervin, son of Mrs. Leon S. Ervin, Morgantown, W.Va., and the late Mr.

Ervin. The candlelight ceremony was performed by the Rev. Nancy Enderley at The Dewes Mansion in Chicago, 111. Mrs. Blaire S.

Jennings, Annapolis, was; matron of honor for her sister. Ronald W. Ervin, -Richmond, was best man for his brother. Ushers were Frank Dulin and Gary Albert azzl, both of Morgantown, W.Va. A reception was held immediately following the ceremony.

A rehearsal dinner was hosted by the groom's mother at Mare's in Chicago. Mrs. Ervin graduated from Wyoming Seminary -Preparatory School and The Gemalogical Institute, of America and is employed with S.A. Peck and Chicago, 111. Mr.

Ervin graduated from Morgantown High; School and West Virginia State College. He ls president of Ervin Capital Management Chi-, cago, 111. Following a wedding trip to the French West Indies, the couple will live in Chicago. Wetteraus observe golden anniversary Mr. and Mrs.

William J. Wetterau, Washington Square Apartments, South Washington Street, Wilkes-Barre, formerly of 123 Poplar are cele-, bratlng their 50th wedding anniversary today. They were married by the late Rev. Nazarius DeSalccanl in Holy Rosary Church, Park Avenue, on April 30, 1945. Mrs.

Watterau Is the former Angeline DeLuca, daughter of the late Achille and Theresa DeLuca of Wilkes-Barre. Mr. Wetterau the son of the late William and Alyce Wetterau of Wllkes-Barre. The couple are parents of three children: Joan Caucci, Mayfleld; John, Harrisburg, and Nancy Gildea, Laurel Run. They also have six grandchil- dren: Nicole, Melissa, Greg and Amy Caucci and Kelly and Brian Gildea.

The couple was honored at a family dinner Saturday at Pickett's Charge restaurant. mm lip Hales celebrate 50th anniversary Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Hale, Courtdalc, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on April 28. They were married on April 28, 1945 by Rev.

A.J. Thomas in the Immanuel Baptist Church, Edwardsville. Their attendants were Loraine Craig Jones and the late William Kelly. Mrs. Hale is the former Reba Craig, daughter of the late Emanuel and Bertha Craig, Courtdale.

Mr. Hale is the son of the late Corey and Stella Hale, Kingston. He is retired from the Sordoni Construction Co. and Commonwealth Telephone Co. They were the parents of three children: Arthur Mt.

Pocono; Shirley Storm, Courtdale; and the late Gary Hale. They have six grandchildren. Shannon and Tarynne Hale, Jennifer Hale Horn and Amy, Bethany and Russell L. Storm. They also have four great-grandchildren.

They were honored at a family dinner. Miss Latoszewski Is a graduate of Wyoming Valley West High School. She studied ballet at the Wllkes-Barre Ballet Theatre School and has danced professionally with the Wilkes-Barre Ballet Theatre; The Alberta Ballet; Feld BalletsNew York and is presently employed with the ClevelandSan Jose Ballet Company. Mr. Greyeyes Is a graduate of the National Ballet School, and is presently starring in the film "Dance Me Outside," Just released across Canada and soon to be released In the United States. He also appeared In the TNT television movie "Geronimo," and will appear in a television show due out this fall.

Mr. Greyeyes has also danced with the National Ballet of Canada and Feld BalletsNY. The couple will be united in marriage on May 20 at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church, Plymouth. Jeff Webster, Nguyen Huynh Nguyen Huynh to wed Jeff Webster Mr. and Mrs.

Khanh G. Huynh of Wilkes-Barre announce the engagement of their daughter, Nguyen, to Jeff Webster, son of Mr. and Mrs. James H. Webster of Laflin.

The bride-to-be is a 1993 graduate of Wilkes University, where she received a bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering. She is employed by Thomson Consumer Electronics and is working toward an MBA degree. The prospective groom is also a 1993 graduate of Wilkes University, where he received a bachelor of science degree in electrical engineering. He is employed by Harris Corp. and is working toward, a master of science degree in electrical engineering.

The couple will exchange vows on Sept. 30, 1 995 at St. Maria Goretti Church, Laflin. Son, Alexander William, is born to the Herrs Mr. and Mrs.

Stephen Herr, Pine Grove Mills, State College, announce the birth of a son, Alexander William, on March 10 at Center Community Hospital, State College. Mrs. Herr is the former Kathy Wajda, daughter of Sophie and Mike Wajda. Wilkes-Barre Township. This the sixth grandchild for the maternal grandparents and the seventh grandchild for the paternal grandparents.
