Ruford 0. Tipton of 5125 I dian Ripple share the honor co-valedictorians of the 1968 graduating class of Beavercreek High School. They will deliver their valedictorian speeches during the commencement' for the 485 graduating seniors, which will be held at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in Frank Zink the first graduation cer for schools in Greene County this year. In event of rain, ceremonies will moved to the Field House.

Should this be the case, each senior will receive tickets of admission. This is necessary because of limited facilities at the Field House. This year is the first time that BHS has had students tie for valedictorian. No salutatorian was named because of this. BEFORE MARJORIE and Roberta's 'address, Supt.

Vir len Klopfer, will present the valedictorians and awards. The 1968 class will be presented by Principal John Townsley a Assistant Principal Coy and diplomas will be hand ed out by John H. Powell, president of Beavercreek Schoo' Board. Four graduating seniors, ho have been active in the Music Department, will appear on the commencement program. Donald Steeley will present a trombone solo and another musical number will be played by a trumpet trio composed of John Pandzik, Bruce Bailey and Wayne Hampton.

The BHS Symphonic Band also will take part. The Rev. Thomas Nees, pastor, of Knollwood Church of the Nazarene, will give the invoca tion and the Rev. Betsch, pastor of Beaver United Church-of Christ, the benediction. Principal Townsely said tha State Board of Education Awards of Distinction will be presented to 26 members the class who have completec four units of English and three units each of mathematics, sci ence, social studies and foreign language.

Scholarship winner will be given recognition. MAJORJE AND Roberta quite deserving of heir honor since they both have en ranked No. 1 in the class sine the beginning of this year. Marjorie, who is intereste in nuclear physics and plans to in that field at the Uni versity of Dayton after gradua 'ion, has been honored a times at the school. She received the Bausch and Lomb award as the butstandinj senior science student and in the Ohio State Scholarship Tests was second and in state in English her ar and fifth in the district in nglish this year.

She entered the National Thelian Society and National onor Society in her junior BLASIUS state in general science as freshman, fourth in the distrn in biology as a sophomori sixth in the district in chemis try as a junior and seventh- ir the district in her division in this year. She is a 1 National Merit Scholarship finalist, attended Buckeye Girls' State and has been on the honor roll four years. ROBERTA, WHO has been in Beavercreek Schools all 12 years, is also a National Merit Scholarship iinalisl, won the National Council of Teachers of English award and has received a four-year full tuition scholarship from the University of Dayton. However, she plans to enter Ohio State University this fall in Freshman Honors College, but has not yet decided on a major or a caroar though she is considering leaching, medicine or foreign languages. She has been on the honor roll for four years and in Ohio State Scholarship Tests was second in the stale in English her freshman year, fourth in the district and honorable mention slate in biology her nophomore year, sixth Ini Ise Malloy, xThomas Lee Mangan.
