OBITUARIES John W. Shoemaker, probably Greene County's oldest resident, at 102, died Saturday at 3:30 p.m. at Greene Memorial Hospital. He would have celebrated his 103rd birthday June 10. A lifelong resident of Greene and Warren Counties, Mr.

Shoemaker at Cedarville until H4 years ago when he moved to the home of his granddaughter, Mrs Eleanor Smart, 596 Eavey SI. Mr. Shoemaker ended a 30- year career as a rope factory J.W. SHOEMAKER worker at 44, when he began farming. He retired again 31 years later, but kept active as a farm and maintained large flower and vegetable gardens' at the Rankin MacMillan home, Cedarville.

He was a member of First Pentecosta Church. Born at Goes.Station June 10 1885, he was married to the former Laura Pratt, who preceded him in death along with two sons, Harry and Willi a I Shoemaker. He is survived by two daughters, Mrs Hansford (Elsie) Jackson and Mrs, Henry (Mabel) Shaw of Xenia; a sister, Mrs. Florence'Frye McMinnville, a half-sister, Mrs. Chame Holtonjof grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

The Rev. Bruce Brooks will conduct services at 4 p.m;.at Neeld' Funeral Home, 106 W. Market where friends may 6-9 p.m. Tuesday. Interment will be.

Dabney Robert C. Dabney, 81, Bidwell- 0., father of Greene County Auditor Richard C. Dabney, 'died at 8:30 a.m. Sunday in University Hospital, Cq- umbus, where he had been a jatient several days. A resident of the Bidwell area since 1920, he formerly operated a farm there where Dabney Lake now is located, and also was a retired employe of Gallipolis State Hospital.

Mr. Dabney was a member of the Springfield a i Church near Bidwell and Vinton, 0., FAM Lodge. He served with the U.S. Army from 1907 to 1910. Born Aug.
