Special Despatch to Tbe Boston Glohe.J Lee, November 12, Regarding the tiisappearance of James A. Gray of rliis ylaee, the latest theory is that of suicide, based on his movements a few days before lie disappeared, which were peculiarly strange.

When he visited his friends in Albany on Monday of last week, two days after he left Lee, bia clothes were muddy and disordered, and his appearance strange. That night he sfcpt at a consin's, and it was found that tten be retired he did not occupy his bed except to throw himself upon if. dressed, tin Tuesday he met his brother on the street, and withhiin visited another relative. When thev separated he seemed unusually affected by the parting, and clung to his brother's hand, saying that be might never seen him again. NotLing has since been seen or heard of bim.

Although formerly of a very sunny temperament, he has been for two months past very much depressed in spirits. This despondency finally became so marked that his partner ouestioned him about it. He declined to give anv explanation and of course was not pressed. He took with him abnnt SlflO, bis own money, left no debts unpaid and there is no stain on bis name or character. He was to be married this fail to a young lady at Bennington.
