'Fantasia' Is Magnificent "Seeing music" and ''hearing pictures," on the face of it, sounds fantastic. Walt Disney and pold Stokowski's "Fantasia," how ever, does make music visible and Dictures audible. It brings to the screen for the first time, the half formed thoughts of trained and untrained minds when listening to masterpieces. It's like spending two hours looking at yourself and for that reason, if for no other, it is sure to spellbind everyone who sees it. Concert like in theme, it has the sweep, and freshness that only Disney could give the gigantic task of interpreting what men think of when they hear the best that other men have composed.

Beginning with the "absolute music" of Bach's "Toccata and Fugue," and progressing to the well loved "Nutcracker Suite" the movie fan is introduced gradually to the idea of seeing his thoughts take shape on the screen. The latter selection, with its droll Chinese mushrooms, vivid cossack blossoms, and long limbed fairies is certain to be the favorite of young and old alike. The last portion, "Waltz of the Flowers" is a symphony of charm and loveliness. "The Rite of Spring," Beethoven's "Pastoral," "Night on Bald Mountain," "Ave Maria," "Dance of the Hours," and "The Sorcerer's Apprentice," all receive the magic touch of Disney's and Stokowski's interpretations, each sure and masterful each gaining breadth from the other. Comedy, suspense, romance, and tragedy are here.

The villain is here as surely as he ever was in "The Great Train Robbery," and the hero as surely as he is in hoss opera. It has come to pass the movie that every one will enjoy and remember; be enriched and enlightened by; see again and again. The movie that has surpassed its expectations. Yule Role Joe Yule, who played the barkeeper in "Go West," joined the Marx Brothers again in a comedy role for their new picture.
