What advice can you give to all those dreaming of show business? Stick with it. I have known so many people who have given up after a while. It is a business of perseverance. No one is an overnight success; you just have to stay with it.

What other TV show would you like to be on? To tell you the truth, I could not have asked to be on a better TV show. It's the perfect show because I get to play a lot of different characters and I am not the goofy neighbor who comes in every other show. Every Sunday night I can be someone totally different. Even as a white woman there is so much that I can do because there is only one other white woman and white man. Do you consider yourself lucky? I think I am incredibly lucky because only one percent of us get work.

Just the fact that someone is paying me money to do it, I am completely grateful. They went to every city in the U.S. and were casting 100,000 people for this part. They were looking for a black or Hispanic man so the odds were so against me. Write to Wentworth co "In Living Color," 5746 Sunset Los Angeles, Calif.

900289 Kidsday fln. is a publication produced by The Paducah Sun with input from area high school students. Which skit is your favorite and why? My favorite is Super Bimbo and I had a lot of fun doing Sharon Stone. That was my first sketch. Do you have hobbies? I used to support myself by cooking.

I cook a lot in L.A. for friends, I horseback ride, play tennis and hike. How long does it take to rehearse Before taping? On Monday morning we read all the sketches that we might do and narrow it down. We do lots of rewrites and rehearsals for a whole week and then we tape on Wednesday and Friday night of the following week. It's about 1 0 days we work on a show before we tape it.

What is the hardest thing about being an actress? The hardest thing is getting the work, then keeping the work. It is so unstable that you don't think you will get work again. The hardest thing about being an comedian is just being a female comedian. We all naturally think men are funny; when a women comes out she has to prove herself. Which title fits you better, actress or comedian? I would say actress.

The word actress encompasses both. I was trained in New York as a classical actress. I was going to be a dra- mafic actress. I think if you are a very good actress you can do comedy also. I prefer actress to comedian.

Who inspired you? I have always wanted to be an actress. I am lucky that I am not one of those people who is trying to find myself. A lot of people my age are still trying to find out who they are. When I was really young I saw "Freaky Friday" with Jodie Foster and I (nought this is really fun, this is what I want to do. At my birthday parties I would force my friends to watch movie after movie.

Have you been in any movies yet? I did a movie called "Trucker" which was directed by Francis Ford Coppola. I just read for "Addams Family II." Do you have any input with the scripts? We have a lot of say with the writers. We also pitch the writers some characters we want to do. We can ad-lib when we are taping. Is anyone in your family acting? My older Brevier is a director and my older sister is a documentary filmmaker.

Do you think this show will still be aired in 10 years? Yes. It is so big that it will go into syndication ana your kids will If you have any comments or suggestions about in, send to: In co The Paducah Sun P.O. I was living in New York and I started a theater company with a friend of mine. I did a one-women show and got an agent and moved out to Los Angeles. My agent startled setting me up in television and I did some TV. My agent set me up for an audition on "In Living Color5, when they were looking for a new cast member.
