iJI FJ is if SEREN CHRISTIAN WILTON Funeral services for Seren Christian, 83, were held at 1:30 p.m. today at the Gill Memorial Home. Wilton, with the Rev. I.G. Wilkens of ficating.

Pallbearers were Ray Siems, Clarence Beinke, William Siems, Harlan Beinke, Robert Reimers and Barl Beinke. Mrs. Howard Morrison was organist and Max Lauser vocalist. Mr. Christian died Monday at Muscatine General Hospital.

Burial was in the Durant cemetery. ALBERT L. TA'YLOR Funeral services for Albert L. Taylor, 69, 118 Third Iowa City, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the George L.

Gay Funeral Home. Rev. David Stout will officiate. Burial will be in Memory Gardens. Albert Taylor died at an Iowa City nursing home Tuesday evening after a long illness.

Friends may call at the funer ill home. Mr. Taylor was born July 6, 1900 in Washington County, son of Richard and Hannah Brown Taylor. He was married to Florence Boese on Oct. 30, 1940 in Iowa City.

Ke came to Iowa City in 1940 and was employed by the Yellow Cab Co. until his retirement in 1965. He was a member of the Methodist church in Washington, Iowa. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Florence Taylor; a daughter, Mrs.

R.A. (Betty) McDonald, Savannah, two step daughters, Mrs. James (Betty) Klein of Iowa City and Miss Mary Boese of Muscatine, a registered nurse at the Klein Clinic; 12 grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one son and two brothers. C.

WESLEY CURRY Funeral services for C. Wesley Curry, 78, Keithsburg, will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, at the Keithsburg Christian Church with the Rev. Carnoch, Moline, officiating. He will be assisted by Rev.

Harry Pfeiffer, Keithsburg. Burial will be in the Pen fel cemetery, Joy, under the direction of the Steubinger Funeral Home, Keithsburg. Mr. Curry died Wednesday afternoon, in the Mercer County Hospital, after a sudden heart attack. The son of William and Alice Olson Curry, he was born near Keithsburg, on May 1, 1891.

On Jan. 22, 1913, he married Anna Marie Juhl, of Fairmont, Minn. She preceded him in death on May 16, 1959. On Jan. 11, 1967, he married the former Mrs.

Ollie Crow, of Keithsburg. He was a member of the First Christian Church of Keithsburg. Surviving are his wife; five eons, Clarence, Vern and James, Muscatine, George, Marion, and Charles, North Highland, five daughters, Mrs. Lawrence (Mildred) Klebc, Mrs. Milton (Roberta) Mills, Mrs.

Wally (Maggie) Shoppa, Mrs. Rudy (Esther) Pankratz, all of Muscatine; and Mrs. Williard (Doris) Eugle, Taylor Ridge; two stepsons; 19 grandchildren; and 10 great 1 grandchildren. It is believed the house can not be saved Obituaries and Funerals HUGH SNEERINGER WEST LIBERTY Final rites are pending at the Snider Funeral Home here for Hugh Sneeringer, 72; who died suddenly today at his home, route 2, West Liberty.

Visitation will begin this evening. A son of Augustus and Cecelia Lawrence Sneeringer, he was born March 11, 1897 at Bunker Hill, 111. He resided here many years. His marriage to Irene Buckley took place June 30, 1919 and she died in 1966. Mr.

Sneeringer was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, West Liberty, and was associated with Pioneer Seed Corn Co. of Durant and Downey for many years. Surviving are two daughters. Mrs.

Robert (Kathryne) Oldenburg, Durant, and Mrs. Lester (Patricia) Barkhurst, West Liberty; one step daughter. Mrs. Fred (Erleinel Kruse, West Lib erty: one brother, Charles, Bunker Hill: two sisters, Mrs. Charles Berger, New Berlin, 111., and Mrs.

Anton Mullink, Bunker Hill; seven grandchildren; and five grea grandchildren. GEORGE G. TOBIAS Funeral services for George G. Tobias, 61, are pending at the Ralph J. Wittich Funeral Home.

Mr. Tobias died Wednesday at his home at 720 W. Fulliam after a short illness. Death was attibutcd to a heart attack. Mr.

Tobias was a life resident of Muscatine, born July 22, 1908, the son of Gustave and Mary Fisher Tobias. He was employed for 25 years as an assembler at Carver Pump Co. and was past president of Machinists Local No 1499. Mr. Tobias was a member of the Mulford Free Evangelical church.

He was married March 5, 1943, in Muscatne, to Bernadine Schmelzer. He is survived by the window, Mrs. Bernadine Tobias; three sons, William J. Tobias, Muscatine, Marvin H. Tobias in Egypt, and Richard Schmelzer, Muscatine; two daughters, Mrs.

Dorene Gayle Loesch, Evans ville, and Mrs. Shirley On nen, Wilton; three brothers, Andrew, Woodrow and David To parently torgetting to turn off a stove which caused the fire, authorities said. The fire followed the stairwell up from the basement to the second floor. The house was insured. Mr.
