dear "Auntie Joan" passed peacefully into the presence of the Lord Jesus. She was known for her sweet loving manner and will be especially missed by niece and nephew Dave and Katy Brereton, caregiver Johanne Muir as well as many staff from the Sunrise residence in Beaconsfield where she was tenderly cared for in the Alzheimer's unit during her last 3 years. Joan was the beloved sister-in-law of Naomi Brereton and beloved aunt of Mark (Leslie) Brereton, Ruth (Dan) Verratti, Joy (Mike) Aitchison, Peter (Sharon) Brereton, Andrew (Lana) Brereton, Eunice Mayhew and many great nieces and great-nephews, and will be greatly missed by her friends and family. Joan was the sister of the late John Brereton and the late Marguerite (Brereton) Pena. From a young age, Joan believed the words of Jesus, who said: "For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him, should not perish, but have everlasting life." (John chapter 3, verse 16 the Bible).

Ketty was the beloved: mother of her son, Statis; sister of Sofiya; and mother-in-law of Debbie. Ketty was born in Istanbul, Turkey. Her formative years were spent in Italy where she studied opera and teaching. Her students remember her as compassionate, funny, and down to earth. Her professional singing career was later put on hold when decided to devote all her time to raising a family.

She emigrated with her family from Turkey in 1965 and settled down in Montreal, Quebec. She was active in the Montreal chapter of the Sinthezmos ton Costadtinopoleon. She would later relocate to Toronto where she would spend the remainder of her life. While in Toronto, Ketty was active in the Silogos Costandinolopiton and the Filoptohos ton Ayion Pandon. Ketty loved to travel and did so China prolifically.

and In Russia later with years her sister adventure gave trips way to more sedate travels to Florida and the Caribbean, and, of course, trips back home to Costandinoupoli, Halki, and Pringipo every summer. She had a green thumb and loved to tend to her plants and flowers. Her favorites were the three large bougainvilleas which beautifully framed her home's breakfast nook overlooking the back garden. Ketty brought a smile to everyone she met. She greatly missed.

Friends may call on Friday, May 17, 2013 from 5:00 9:00 p.m. at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home, Toronto. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, May 18, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at All Saints Greek Orthodox Church (222 Burbank Drive).

Peggy will be lovingly remembered by her sons Jim and Bill Gardner, daughters-in-law Joan and Carole, grandchildren Deborah (Ryan), Alison (Billy), Suzanne, Neil. Eric (Monica), greatgrandchildren Austin, Alexandra, Theodore, Julian, Carson and Roy (Lil), Joanie (Rick), Barb (Bob), Carol, Lynda, Donna (Darryl). Peggy was a long-time employee of the Verdun Guardian and then Concordia University, She was a member of the Verdun Lawn Bowling Club, the Sons of Scotland (past chief of McKenzie Camp) a and First Presbyterian Church. Peggy with her happy smile and pleasant ways, will be greatly missed by family and friends. -C748205 GOLDSTEIN, Mona 1951-2013 It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Mona on Tuesday, May 14, 2013, after a brief and courageous battle with cancer. Mona's abilities and accomplishments were an inspiration to all who knew her. After receiving a Master of Science degree from the Newhouse School of Communications at Syracuse University, she spent 20 years with Wunderman Cato Johnson, mostly as president of the Canadian operation. She was also the Chair of the Board of Directors (1989 to 1992) of the Canadian Marketing Association. In addition, Mona spent time volunteering amongst her many charities and organizations.

Mona is survived by her mother Rose Goldstein, the late Sydney Goldstein, brothers Jeff and Harvey, sisters in law Sandra Goldstein and Nancy Indri nieces and nephews Erin, Samara, Zach and Virginia. A small family service will take place at Benjamin's Park Memorial Chapel, 2401 Steeles Avenue West at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, May 17, 2013, with a private interment to follow.
