Many thanks to the 5th floor staff at Bayview for all of their care. Passed away peacefully at the Royal Victoria Hospital on January 16, 2012 at the age of 76. He was a wonderful pediatrician, and a friend to many. He graduated from McGill Medicine in 1961 and received his Pediatric training at the Montreal Children's Hospital. Some of his happiest times were at his cottage in Dunany where he will be remembered at the Dunany Country Club for his ready smile and erratic golf skills.

Love of music was always central to his life. He is survived by Ellen, his wife of 51 years and children Lori, Janet (Scott) and Brian, and six grandchildren. Lambert United Church will be gratefully appreciated and CARON, Ronald 1929-2012 Born in Hull, Quebec, Prof. Caron died peacefully in Montreal January 9, 2012 at the age of 82. Beloved son of the late Caron and the late Jeanne Charbonneau, and his brother, the late Caron (the late Raymonde Landry), brother of Gilles and Claire Caron, also deceased. Other than his brother Jean-Luc (Lilianne Dallaire), he leaves to mourn niece Louise and nephews Jacques, Marc, Martin, Daniel and their respective spouses, as well as his long time friends Serge Savard, Allan Fletcher and several friends and acquaintances in Montreal and St. Louis, including former colleagues at St.

Laurent. A teacher and a sports enthusiast who was particularly fond of baseball and hockey, Ronald Caron began his career in hockey as a part time scout with the Montreal Canadiens in the fall of 1959. He would spend 26 years with the organisation holding several positions at the management level including assistant general manager. He would win the Stanley Cup six times before moving on to St. Louis where he was vice president and general manager from 1983 to 1994.

He would remain with the Blues as a special advisor until the turn of the century. In 2008, he was awarded the Medal of the National Assembly for his dedication to hockey and lifetime achievements. Howard, son of a British lord, who grew up to be a pilot with the U.S. Navy during World War and later a rancher in Southern Rhodesia (now Zimbabwe) before returning to the United States to set up a successful investment company, died Sunday, December 18th, 2011 at home in the Jacksonville, Florida suburb of Orange Park at age 86 after a courageous battle with multiple myeloma.

In 1952, he married Betsy Mayfield of St. Louis, MO. They had three children Alan, Elizabeth and Sarah living in Africa where they had many adventures until the dissolution of Rhodesia and their marriage in 1968. In 1970, while studying at Harvard Business School, he began the second part of his life, moving permanently to the United States after marrying his second wife, Mary Jane Bishop, of Bedford, N.Y. After her death in 1994, he moved back to Jacksonville, briefly marrying Linda Kitson of London.

In 2005, he began finalizing his memoirs, "Questioning the at the encouragement of his wife Evelyn (Evie) Mc Donald of Montreal, Canada whom he had married in 2006. He is survived by his wife, Evie, two brothers, Euan, Lord Strathcona and Mount Royal of Great Britain, and Jonathon Howard of Sweden; two daughters Elizabeth de Laperouse and Sarah Thomasson, both of St. Louis, MO; five step-children from the Bishop family: Janie Putnam of Bedminster, N.Y., Nat Bishop of Barrington, R.I., Cindy Dickey of Philadelphia, Priscilla Henry of Sewickley, Pa, and Linda Moody of Wellesley, MA; six grandchildren, 12 step grandchildren, four step great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son Alan Howard and his sister Didon Faber. A small private burial service was held on December 27 in Orange Park.

Memorial services in celebration of Barny's life will be held at Grace Episcopal Church, Orange Park Florida on February 4th at 11:00 a.m. and at Holy Trinity Church, Sloane Square, London, England on March 16th at noon.
