In writing the closing chapter of the history of this organization, it is but a repetition of the history of many other rural churches throughout the country. The drift of the population toward the towns and cities for the past few years has reduced the membership of rural churches to such an ex that it has been impossible to continue the organization and the chinch property has fallen info uch state of repair as to render it unfit for holding si rvicef even if there should hr- an occasion. EAST COLLIN STREET FREIGHT WRECK IN MEXIA YARDS BREAKS SCHEDULE All traffic on the Southern Pacific lines was running slightly off schedule Monday because of a freight wreck iuside the Mexia yard limits.

Ten cars of train No. 258, southbound freight, were railed and turned over about 7:30 Monday morning, blocking traffic on the main line. No injuries were reported. Traffic was being switched around the wreck in Mexia anrf was running few minutes late. Wreckers had been ordered out of Ennis and Hearne early Monday morning, and railroad officials estimated that about six hours would be required to repair the damage.
