Oleta Beryle Duff, 53, Hickory Rt. 2, was pronounced dead on arrival at Marshall County Hospital following a traffic accident on Tuesday. Trooper Richard Wright, information officer for the state police at Mayfield, said Mrs. Duff did not receive injuries as a direct result of the collision, but apparently suffered a heart attack moments after the mishap. Wright said Mrs.

Duff was backing her vehicle out of driveway on the Sand Hill Graveyard Road, eight miles east of Mayfield at 4:45 p.m. large tree apparently obscured her view of the roadway, be said. Jerry Cox, 35, Hickory Rt. 2, was operating a dirt bike on the roadway at the time and he collided with the rear of the Duff vehicle as it was backed onto the roadway. Cox was taken to Marshall County Hospital and then transferred to Lourdes Hospital in Paducah.

Mrs. Duff was dead on arrival at the Marshall County Benton hospital. The accident was investigated by Trooper Bobby Ham. Mrs. Duff, the widow of Herbert Duff, was a member of Vanzora Baptist Church.
