Peabody and Osawatomie, Kansas. He came to Florence in 1907 and has ben the pastor of the Christian Church practically all of the time since. Of his work here little need be said. It is well known how honest, kind, frank and liberal he was. For the past several months he had known that but little time remained to him, but he was ready for the great change.

He had said he wanted to be taken directly from' his work; lie had often prayed to be allowed to "wear out, not rust out." In apparent answer to that prayer he preached his last sermon Sunday night. Whatever there is of reward for the faithful performance of duty, for loving, thoughtful obedience to the mandates of the "Man of Galilee," he must receive that reward. He has saved many others, surely, by so doing he has saved himself. The funeral services were held at the Church Friday afternoon, and despite the inclement weather and had roads the church was filled to capacity. The sermon was by Rev, Wilson, pastor of the Local Santa Fe1 8urgeon.
