"Maybe there are other factors, but I don't recognize them." What he accepts is that these shows are making it in a highly competitive market without an overreaction from the same quarters that for so long kept doors closed to black humor. Evans is not merely content to ride the crest of his popularity in the series. He says he wants to expand. He wants to sing, compose and create. He did create "Good Times," and wrote four episodes.

Now he collects his royalties but has nothing lse to do with that series..
