Everyone, parents, caregivers, employers, doctors, and government are going to have to work together to create and keep our day care centers the safest, cleanest, and best environments they can possibly be. I hope other parents are as concerned with this situation as I am.

Please SOUND OFF. Would the young couple who purchased our white deep freeze please contact us. You forgot your key. The kids in the Paducah area need all the help we can get to grant there dreams if they are sick. I just saw Terry Mike Jeffery on ABC and he was great.

He should play all three Elvises. I'd like to see him portray Rick Nelson in a similar show. This Doem is to the senior graduates of Heath High School, ms. low may think you're leaving your friends, But this poem is dedicated to you: Together, forever, Never apart. Maybe in distance, But never in heart.

I congratulate the 1989 Heath graduates and wish them a special and beneficial year. I want to thank the nice lady who turned in a purse she found in a Kroger's basket outside of the store. May she receive a special blessing for this. Thanks again. UNCLASSiriEDS cost onlv vou I would just like to comment that we live in the Great Oaks subdivision.

A lot of people are working on houses. Some need repairs and different things and the road department is working on ditches and things, and a lot of people are parking in the road. No matter which side of your driveway they park on, it's an inconvenience if you've got someone coming and going out of your driveway. It's almost impossible to get in or get out. I think it's real inconsiderate.

I would like to SOUND OFF about a very important issue: day care centers. My daughter attends a nice day care facility two days a week. Prior to starting day care in February, she had never been seriously ill. Since that time, she has had several illnesses. When I expressed my concern to the director about so many sick children being allowed to attend, she Kir 4Vn, rtrtf m-tlir lnor tn tuifnaway children who were running tcvcia.

Li qucotiuiuiig uuiei" uay care directors, I was told the same thing. Being quite unhappy with such loose laws, I checked with the state licensing and regulations board and found this not to be the case. In fact, the state mandates that any child showing any signs of communicable illness may not be permitted on the premises, and any child becoming ill there must be picked up immediately by their parents. However, this regulation is not being enforced. The blame lies both on the "caregivers and the parents.

The caregivers need to uphold the law and run clean, healthy centers. Parents need to respect these laws. Don't take your sick child to a day care center where it will certainly infect other children. I personally do not take my child when she is sick in order not to infect other children. Therefore, I would like to urge other parents to do the same in order to protect my child and other healthy children who are there.

If you are a working parent, surely you know there are going to be days that your child is going to be sick.
