Toad-vine where elegant banquet was served by the ladies of the Friends church. The house was decorated with school pennants, and in t.j alumnae colors, purple and gold.

A number of little ladies in purple and gold caps and aprons waited upon the guests The centerpieces were especially attractive, being miniature gol May poles, tiny dolls holding purple streamers. The orations were very gocd, the subjects carefullychosen and and well delivered Prof. Reagan ef U. gave the class address, leaving many valuable and practical thoughts. The music was much enjoyed by all, the male quartette doing themselves credit, and the chor-. uses by the school were exceptionally good.

After the presentation of Diplomas bv Prof. Townsend the class was congratulated by their many friends. The Senior class is certainly to be congratulated upontheir work this year. In fact the year has been one in hich the work has been satisfactory as is shown by the closing exercises of the school year. Lescault for the special sermon preached for our. especial benefit on Sunday 26th. It touched a cord that vibrated in the hearts of us old men, as the sermons of our beloved chaplains did when in the camp and on the field as our homes and families were held up to usand we were exorted, to standby our savior as by onr" country, that our homes might not be'blighted by any sinful act more than our country by any disloyal act to our Government; blessed be our chaplains. And to the choir, -we are most grateful for the beautiful selections rendered at the service. May they ever feel that they gave some eld men and their life'eompanions a pleasant hour D.
