Enlisted in Canadian Air P'orces in 1941 and transferred to American Air Force, Was awarded Air Medal and an Oak Leaf Cluster. Lt. Ballew was reported a prisoner of the Germans, April 25, 1944. The officer formerly was employed in the display advertising department of the Dahas Morning News. Lt.
