Beloved wife of the late Alexander Ferworn. She leaves to mourn her nieces and nephews, relatives and friend. After years of fighting and conquering, the battle was courageously lost. Beloved husband of Saieesa, loving and precious son to Dorothy and the late Ben Pope, dear son-in-law to Bob and verline Miller. Treasured brother and best friend to Barbara, Robyn and Jacqui (Gaby Moyal), loving brother-in-law to Michael and Donna Miller, wonderful and cherished uncle to Benjamin Moyal and Chace Miller. Also survived by his dear brother Gerald Svalbe of westmount, and cousins George Gruenwald of Montreal and Natasha Koniachin of New York. Predeceased by his first wife Irmgard (Straupeneck) and his daughter Helga Schwalbe-Symington. Bill will be much missed and remembered by all who knew him as one of the kindest, gentlest and most considerate of people.

Of Beaconsfield, passed away after a brief, unexpected and courageous battle with cancer on August 18, 1999 at the age of seventy-five. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Fran and his two sons, Peter and Eric; and in Vancouver, by his daughter, Linnel (Usha), his brother, Jack and many nieces and nephews.

As a civil engineer he was involved in a variety of projects both in Canada and overseas. He was an active member and the president of the Catharine Traill Naturalists.
