Allen Keith Pursley, Sunday. Central Texas Paper Box Company, 1606 West Second avenue, is experiencing growing pains and is going to do something about it. The present site of 4.500 square feet has become crowded and inadequate and this Corsicana concern will move about the middle of February to the Murchison building, corner South Main street and West Seventh avenue. will have 10,000 square feet on the first floor of the new Perry and Dennis Bass, owners, revealed. Roney will use the second floor for warehouse space.

This Corsicana manufacturing concern has seven employes in addition to the brother partners. Folding cartons from four inches to 45 inches are manufactured. When asked for a specific moving date, the information was given that an order for a million boxes from one firm had to be finished before the six presses are oved along with a lot of other equipment at the site and in storage for lack of room. The 1,000.000 boxes will require 50 tons of paper. Six presses are located at the site and one is in storage, not to mention paper cutters, dies made for the various patterns, and a glueing machine.

The concern used 600 tons of paper in I960 and 500 tons in 1961. Local customers for Central Texas include Tex-Sun, K. Wolens Department Stores, Texas- Miller Products Company Collin Street Bakery. Other large customers are located in Houston, Dallas, Fort Worth and Winsboro. The firm expects a 25 per cent expansion and increase in business as soon as the move is made.

Central Texas Paper Box Company purchases all of its materials from Texas firms. Three of the presses are automatic while the other three are hand-fed. Three of the presses can provide color work. White and gray carboard is used extensively by this firm. Bass Brothers purchased the concern several years ago from Erwin and Beasley company and when they moved to the present location, they had all the room needed for their three machines, but it is much too small for the present operation.

The concern prints off metal plates, electrolyte, aluminum and magnesium plates. And the operators of this going company feel that in time they may require the second floor of the big Murchison building. V. v. a HALL'S DRUG STORE 12th St.
