Bom in Glace Bay, Father Lannon was the son of the late Catherine Lannon (O'Donnell). He was predeceased by an infant sister Mary Kay. Father Patrick is survived by his father Edward; brothers James, John, Tom, all of Glace Bay, N.S., and Al (Gemma), of Truro, N.S.; and sister Eileen (Keith Oldford) of Glace Bay. (MIKE) DUMARESQ Peacefully, after a long illness, on Sunday September 9, 2001 in his eighty-fourth year, Clarence Finley Dumaresq (Mike), loving husband of Muriel (McMahon), father of Marilyn, Pat, Michael and Alicia, father-in-law of Ron Rickman and Peter Bigney, grandfather of Kathleen and Mark Bigney and brother of Janice Thompson, uncle of Laurie and Susan, great uncle of Sam and Ben. Veteran of WW2, Mike was commissioned to the Grenadier Guards early in 1940, taught at battle schools in Canada and England and served with the PPCLI in Italy where he was seriously wounded at the Gothic Line.

Upon his recovery, Mike joined Stewart Smith (Canada) Ltd; ending his career as first Canadian President of that firm. In 1951, he and Muriel joined the Christian Family Movement, young parents addressing the issues and problems facing families in the post war years. Ultimately the Dumaresqs represented the movement at national and international conferences. In the 1960s Mike joined the Canadian Power Squadrons learning and teaching boating safety; eventually becoming Chief Commander for Canada for that organization. Finally and until recently he served his parish and condominium communities.

Bob had many affiliations with the hockey profession including membership in the NHL as a player and linesman and as a Director of Officials with the former WHA and was captain of the Montreal Royals who won the 1949 Memorial Cup. Bob was inducted into the Lachine Sports Hall Fame in 1994. His long employment history with Dominion Bridge in Lachine was especially important to him where Bob was able to develop a career and love of construction and the ability to travel world-wide on different construction projects. After retirement, golfing became one of his main passions and he was found frequently on golf courses in both Naples, Florida and Montreal, Quebec with his fellow golfers. The family will receive relatives and friends for visitation at Urgel Bourgie Funeral Home, 1750 Notre Dame, Lachine from 2 to 5 and 7 to 10 p.m., Tuesday, September 1 1 and Wednesday from 9 a.m.
