'The Women' first entry for Players' new season The Kanawha Players open their 51st season with a Claire Booth play, "The Women," Oct. 19. Jules F e i f f e r ' s "Little Murders," a satire about violence on city streets, will be presented Nov. 30. A more serious side of Neil Simon will be seen in "The Gingerbread Lady" Jan. 25. "Play It Again, Sam," by Woody Allen will be presented March 15. Another Simon play, "Plaza Suite," closes the season April 26 with a look at human failing. Kanawha Players director Barry Steinman says the five plays were chosen "to draw our audience away from chairs in front of television sets to experience live productions which have more excitement."
