'Masterpiece' entry confusing, intriguing CONVERSATIONS WITH ERIC SEVAREID. Author and political scientist Leo Rosten is Eric Sevar- eid's guest. The 67-year-old Rosten, a man whose experience ranges from teaching at such institutions as Yale. Stanford. Columbia, and the University of California, to writing for the movies, and whose New Deal philosophy in Roosevelt's day has taken quite a plunge, talks about education, government and people with his host. 6 p.m. CBS. O ® WORLD OF DISNEY. "Snow Bear/' Part II. (Repeat). The conclusion of this beautifully filmed two-parter young Eskimo Timko reunited with his pet bear out in the frozen tundra, where the two hunt and live in a cave. 7:30 p.m. NBC THE BEST OF EVENING AT POPS. "Old Timers' Night." (Repeat). The title refers to the venerable standards everybody and anybody can sing-along to, whether they've heard the tunes from their mothers and grandmothers, or have come upon.them all by themselves. There's a George M. Cohan medley including "Give My Regards to Broadway" and "Mary's a Grand Old Name": and such mar- velous oldies as "Pack Up Your Troubles," "Till We Meet Again," and "Take Me Out to the Ball Game." 7:30 p.m. PBS. Offi »· MASTERPIECE THEATER. "Murder Must Advertise." (Re- peat). The best episode so f a r , mostly because Lord Peter Wimsey appears as himself -- something actor Ian Carmichael carries out with aplomb -- in a pivotal scene of the hour. Dorothy Sayers uses her keen imagination to excellent effect when she has Wimsey arrange that the drug-addicted Diane and her drug-traffic pal Todd be invited to his mother's posh party, only to be confronted by Wimsey, whom they believe to be his double, Mr. Bredon. Confusing and intriguing all through. 8:30 p.m. PBS. O® Ci-nV *r¥^***£*+«* \ MU»l- StcU)j\ WX" NU-SASH uvw* ] BEFORE XI ^ II' t- v k** VSM SPECIAL...
